The Haters On Youtube

Why is it that everywere you look on youtube there are stupid comments about gay people. They say that we have chosen to be gay and that we will go to "hell" if we don't repent. i don't get why people are so small minded and actualy spend the time writing them. they say,

. gay people have a mental illness! but i don't have 1
. gay people will go to hell for being gay! but thats only if you beleave in the bible and i don't because i never asked to be gay for as long as i can remember i was gay so i don't get that 1?
there are a lot more but i can't be asked to wright them. its hard anuf for gay people as it is coming out why are people so small minded its 2008 and people still can't get there heads around the fact hetrosexuals an't the only people on earth.

Not usually really about homophobia though, most of those types ranting about it in a negative way on the net probably dont even know a gay person, a lot of the times its just venting frustration at the only minority left no one is going to defend

Indeed, it is free speech. There are things in the world which are forbidden. It is like trying to make wrong, a right. Being gay isn't normal or right, but I tolerate gay people. They are probably the most civilised people on this planet. Of course there are many who simply want an excuse to persecute gay people. I give up on youtube. It is simply a playground for teenagers who wish to exploit technology to ensure that society moves on. However.... I cannot justify gay being accepted as right. It would be wrong of anybody who is gay or lesbian, to suddenly expect the church to scribble out parts of the Holy book, just to suit themselves. It is and I know that a flame is just around a corner, but being gay is an example of sexual immorality. Now don't get me wrong. I don't hate gays or believe they should all go to hell. But before we start trying to twist the laws of morality to suit one's own lifestyle. We should try and turn to the right side. But I believe that it is neither right to forbid any sexual variance. It is true that Man has freewill. Who am I to judge a gay? If it came down to that judgement, it may be the doo gooder being forever abandoned in Hell. But I believe that it is in tolerance, that we all become like God. For even God can tolerate sinners. I know that a flame is around the corner. But I don't hate a gay nor judge them for being such. I think of them as people who potentially have the right to life as anybody who isn't a gay.


Forget youtube. Youtube is already under criticism for its defamtions, racist and animal cruelty video clips. I once browsed, uploaded stuff onto Youtube. But like I said, youtube is simply a domain for teenagers with a camcorder and a internet connection. Usually spotted gimps who think they can say or do whatever they like, even persecuting a gay or white or black person.

john all im sayin is there are still people out there who think being gay is not natural but i can say it is cus u don;t get to choose wether your gay or straight u just know. if u could choose why would people want to be gay with all the haters in the world. you make a choice to come out but not to be gay or straight thats were i think people get it mixed up thats all and i think the bible doesnt help either theirs a lot of things in the people turn a blind eye to and do it with out any up raw . i think that religion is the coz of all this hatered to be fair people should listen to there own mind and not give it to somethink that spreads misery for millions of people. i think its time to think for our selves the world would be a much better place.

There are a TON of racist comments on Youtube too. It really, really bums me out that when people get a chance to anonymously say whatever they want to, so many of them spit hatred. It just freaks me out because it makes me think, y'know, how many of my friends or acquaintances might secretly have awful hateful thoughts like that too? I know, most of the guys who post this stuff are like fourteen and just full of misdirected anger, but still. Enough of them are grown enough to know better.

Sorry, that was sortof ranty of me but you happened to hit on something (Youtube comments, and other places too) that really disturbs me.

 

haha John gimme a break dude...it would be wrong for gay and lesbian people to want the parts taken out of the bible that do not suit them?? Well first of all, I only imagine that would be true if they were xtians themselves. Otherwise, why the hell would they care? They just want to stop being persecuted for the way they are.
Also, are you really that familiar with the bible?? Do you realize that in the bible it says much more about divorce than it does homosexuality?? MUCH MORE. So the next time I see a divorced right wing christian spewing hate I might say to them "God hates you, but I will tolerate you" or "have fun burning in hell!" Also, the bible says that those who commit adultery should be put to death.
My point is this...the real question should be WHY in hells name do conservative christians get away with skipping over the MAIN IDEAS of the bible and concentrating on a few points like homosexuality? Is it possible that the right wing conservative church is just one big closet? Jung would say that a lot of the time, when we hate other people, it is simply because we see part of ourselves in them that we don't want to admit exists...

 

John said that we're immoral...ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE. If you're not christian, then why do you all care so much? He said that he doesn't hate you for being the way you are. Though I have to disagree when he says we are some of the most civilized people on earth if we can't even see anything good in his post & flame him for thinking we are immoral sinners. He can be tolerant of us being gay, why can't we be tolerant of him being christian?

 

At the risk of being pedantic here, it doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that people who don't believe the Bible are exempt from following God's rules. I know this is fairly irrelevant, but by most Christians' standards, "I'm not a Christian" doesn't make much odds.

On a more general point, YouTube comments are absolute fucking eye cancer. Ignore them. Ignore the non-homophobic ones as well. Just train yourself not to scroll down there. Nothing of interest lies therein.

 

Kind of a depressing post. Personally, I think if sexuality were a choice, there'd be more bisexuals! Don't let those assholes push you into feeling like a victim. You should be proud of who you are. So what if you never had a choice, so what if you did. If you defend yourself by saying you never had a choice, you're letting them tell you that, if you did have a choice, you'd never have chosen to be who you are. Is that true? I hope not.

I'm not saying homosexuality is a choice. I'm just saying, if it was, it wouldn't make any difference. There's nothing wrong with it period, and I don't see why we should feel like we had it inflicted on us like some disability. It's kinda like saying, if no-one chooses to be ginger, it's alright to be ginger - it's alright to be ginger period.

 

i do tolerate christians but there don't tolerate us they find stupid ways to make them gods leaders,pick up on quotes that are not even in the true bible in the quest to make us who they are. but every1 one is different. we don't have these big churches spreading how god made us this way so come and join us, becus the more people we get the more ture our beliefs must be. yes gay people are more tolerant becus we understand what it must feel like for every1 els who is not like by some1 els.

 

to selfcontrol you are so true, i don't feel like a victim but i do feel like people put u in a lower class just becus of sexuality and when your coming out it makes it that much harder. i just feel sorry for the people which did include me a few years ago who feel that the whole world is against them. if god does exist he would want people to help other people and not by sayin if you don't change something your were born with your going to hell its insane quite frankley, but they would'nt understand would they.

Before you carry on being blasphemus and anti-religious any further. The stoning to death and bludgeonings, featured in the Old Testament. Before Christ. It was in the New Testament that these things were no more. Infact, it is said that Jesus himself, was close to a prostitute. Of course, there is a right way of living life and a wrong way. We all sin, that is why I believe (You may not), Jesus died for our Sins, so that all those who believe, shalt be saved. I cannot, once again, condone or flunk my religious or moral beliefs just to suit your opinion. Although I don't agree, I tolerate different opinions, like God would himself. Infact, you probably lead a good life, have friends, try and do what is right. Okey, so you are gay. I believe that if you were born a gay, there is probably call for a debate here on a large level. Perhaps when you say you didn't choose to be a gay. Maybe there is something in your upbringing that may contradict this view. But nethertheless, I am open to debate and am ready to be proved wrong

ADDITIONAL: I have discovered that it is not about being Christian, hindu or Buddhist. It is about having a relationship with God. Perhaps you don't believe in a God. But you are entitled to your opinion. I believe in God, I believe that he gave Man free will. That is why it is possible for you to question his existence. Perhaps a study of the Good News Bible for you would be good. Not as a religious step, but more of an understanding or general reference? Your will mate. Nobody can force you, but try and do some research, even if it is merely a fraction of a book
