Why shouldnt gays be aloud to get married? Now im not gay but i do support the gays. Ive heard they shouldnt be aloud to get married because in the bible it talks about marriage being between a woman and a man. So in God's eyes it wrong for a man and a man or a woman and a woman to get married. Well guess what....in God's eyes it wrong to sin but everybody has either lied or has done something that they were told not to do. Why the hell does it bug people if a man and a man get married....their not hurting anyone all the want is to be with the person they love. I was just watching this movie about gay marriage and thinking about one of my friends who is gay. Awhile ago i was talking to him and he is going to be moving to Canada one day just so that him and his boyfriend can live somewhere where gays can be married. Another reason why I like Canada better then the States and cant wait to move up there.
Firstly i don't see why gay people would want a religious marriage.. because the bible is clearly homophobic. Secondly they are not allowed because you live in a democracy.. and the majority of it is made up of bible bashers and homophobes.
I dont think gays should marry either, but then again i dont think anyone should get married. The whole idea or marriage is just a scam for churches and preists to get money, cut the middle man out. Love should be enough for 2 soulmates to live together on.
Yeah but you still need a minister dont you. Even so, everyone i know who got married in a church or by a minister never went to church, it makes no sence.
No you don't. You just need someone who can legally marry you. I don't know the English word for that kind of person though.
if a judge marries you, if you get a divorce wouldnt that be a crime? not a serious question just a thought.
Well he could always move to Massachusetts which legalized gay marriage, or move to Vermont or Rhode Island which passed bills legalizing same-sex unions. Provincetown, Mass (or P-Town) in particular continues to be a haven for gay and lesbian couples. I have nothing against them personally, but I was humiliated once in North Truro which abuts Provincetown (no pun intended) when I was whistled at by a male biker Hotwater
its not like christians or the bible invented marriage though. marriage has been around for ages and ages i could really give a shit who gets married, as long as its not hurting someone whatevs
First you have to stop thinking of GLBT persons as "them" or "different" and start thinking of them as just people. Because they are. Then you'll ask yourself what all the fuss is about. Gay people I know don't give a shit about religious ceremonies or what they might look like inthe eyes of God. They want the right to be married so they can have the same benefits as married couples, like health insurance and default inheritance. If they are together and one dies, the other has no legal right to anything they shared such as real estate, automobiles or other property. Or if one has health insurance and the other doesn't, the insured person cannot extend their coverage to the uninsured person. This is patently unfair.
Or if one has a biological child that they are raising together and something happens to the biological parent...the child is taken away from the other parent.
