Hi, has anyone who has been taking E's or MDMA had any problems with depression? Can you give me an idea of how many you've taken over a period of time.

I have taken alot of E and I have problems with depression. Although I don't know that my use of E is directly related to my problems with depression, because I had problems before I started taking them.

They were a good short term solution I guess?

As for how many I have taken? I honestly would have no clue, I think I first started taking them about 5 years ago and have been through periods where I would take up to 20 a day. Suffice to say, I have taken alot.

when I would have pills two consecutive days, the next two days I'd be depressed. But no depression if i just have them for one day, one or two tabs

there is no doubt in my head that taking ecstasy has caused me to enter a depressing state. its one of the reasons i dont fuck with it anymore. also i cant get good shit anymore :). i would never take it without taking some 5 htp first.

lacking in serotonin basically IS what the state of depression is. however you dont have some all over serotonin level. each neuron (of the hundreds of billions) has its own levels of chemicals, and so when youre low on serotonin, it usually means that -most- of your neurons are low on serotonin. the less serotonin you have, the more likely you will be depressed, that is, thinking thoughts related to neurons with low serotonin levels. i hope that wasnt a mouthful

I thought i was depressed before E...then after the damage was done i learned what depression really was. After i kicked my nasty little pill habit i was absolutely twacked for some four or five months. I feel a whole lot better nowadays, i still have a tendancy to loose it easily, mainly due to anxiety...not so much depression in the sense that i used to suffer from. The depression i felt post-mdma felt purely synthetic...it didnt feel like normal sadness. It was the worst feeling of all time, nothing mad me happy...music, guitar, girls...it all sucked. Absolutely SUCKED. I would cry and contemplate suicide; E put me in a bad place after a while. Im pretty happy now though as long as i stay busy...i just have a significantly worse short term memory.

and ive eaten about 150 in nine months. As well as a few sporadic pills before and after the binge period. The most ive ever eaten was 1000 mgs of some insano flame molly. Not sure how many pills you would equate that too...but i was tripping my fucking balls off. And MDMA isnt really kown for its visuals. My friends had to undress me and put me in a cold shower because i was dripping vast amounts of sweat and seizing. Apparently poison control was called and everything. Paradoxially i dont remember any of this and had percieved the night as an awesome time. haha.

    P.S.
Despite a relative return to normality, there is still a noticable difference than when i was 16 or 17 so dont think that long term side effects will just clear up...when they are there they are there for good, they just get a little better. Serotonin axons only partially grow back and some dont at all.

I've done a lot of e through the years. Never had any complaints.
I just think you should wait at least 4 weeks betweens rolls. And watch your food too. Lots of vitamins and fruit, and sport ofcourse

    I don't understand you guys.

I've done aloooooooooooot of pills and I've never felt depressed like how you guys describe.

E is a strong drug, not many can handle it.

You can eat alot of pills in a lifetime, the only factor that has any effect on long term depression is dose ingested and how long the time period is between experiences. As long as you wait like a month between rolls you can eat well over 600 in a lifetime theoretically and only see minimal side effects. And it has nothing to do with being able to handle it. On the contrary, almost anyone can handle E, why else would it be so popular. It's not a drug that people tend to have bad 'trips' on. It's just about the level of antioxidants that are available in your system to attack the free radicals once you crash and how your body naturally reacts to oxidative stress. Some people will obviously see more negative side effects than others because everyone's brain chemistry is different.
