If you are on a tight budget, Tesco is the only place to shop. With Tesco cherry tomatoes at only 56 pence and cucumber half portion at 31 pence. Who would shop in Marks?

Tesco was a saviour for most of my friends. Simply because it's over the road from college and they're too poor to afford canteen food and too lazy to make their own.

And cause someone mentioned Waitrose, do they exist in the North? I'd honestly never heard of it until I stayed in Portsmouth a couple of years ago.

I wondered that. I lived up north for a long time growing up and never saw one/heard of one. Moved down here a couple of years ago and were right next to one and its massive

Yeah there's waitrose in the north.. just less common. So far in my travels I've seen precisely one north of Birmingham..

I dont think its that bad. 120g of chocolate for 23p. Energy drinks for 15p. Noodle for 8p. And its all pretty tasty. Noodles are great when you have the munchies and are low on money.

However, it does seem to getting bigger and bigger.....the next Walmart. They do insurance for cars and homes, mobile phone contracts, health insurance ect.

As for Waitrose, I did like it, but ever since I moved up North I havnt seen one.....although I am told there is one in North Liverpool. I prefer it to Tescos personally.

Ah, I now understand why I'd never heard of Waitrose. Turns out there's only one in the whole county of North Yorkshire.

that's very true. you know all the two-for-one deals you see in supermarkets - it's the farmer who has to bear the cost of that, not the retailer.

i know of two sainsburys, an asda, two tescos, an Aldi, a waitrose, the Lidl closed down and i think thats about it. Im not sure where they all are exactly but theyre all pretty close cept the second tesco.

Then again im not one to go to letchworth or baldock on a regular [if at all] basis but i think all supermarkets just suck in general... :|

On another note, that travelator is bloody brilliant!! I took a few videos of it on my phone, and some pictures of my dad going up, me going up, and just it in general. it was funny... :D

Yeah, Lidls closed down where you are. You're right about Letchworth and baldock, absolute backwaters! Baldock moreso than Letchworth, I mean, it ahs no shops beside bleeding Tescos!

Tesco is part of a bigger chain of food stores for example did you know ASDA's is part of the wallmart chain, they put the little buisness out of buisness, thats whats wrong with tesco! Try others first before you resort to tesco, its always cheaper somewheres else!

Words are power, shit right now its my 32'd post and this is my first time on your board, hello to you all, peace be with you, and may god bless you all. For life such as it is is short lived and we are here today but gone tomorrow, so may the blessings of god go with you all.
