A short tale to tell... i was walking through a field the other day after a rather large snowstorm that melted in a matter of hours due to global warming. As i was taking in the beauty of nature i saw a lone leaf standing erect form the frozen ground. Now maybe im simply a strange person but, i stopped cause it really was quite remarkable. How did it get there? Did this leaf get blown in the storm and happen to get stuck and then froozen in this perticular spot? But that would mean the same fate would occur to other leaves in the area(which there were none). Or had it been rooted in the soil since fall? Though how could it considering all the winter snow and rain storms that happen in my neck-of-the-woods. Maybe a person or animal had placed this leaf into the ground for Mother Nature to store or do as she liked? What motives had they had to commit the act? All these questions and ponderings came about because of a single leaf standing tall in a solitary field, whoa.
