I'd assume it's a desperate underlying need to be liked with all this clamouring for affirmation and attention, yet paradoxically all this "watch me, look at me, watch me" behaviour is precisely what makes people dislike him...

I thought Rah, though being controversial, offence and very subjective added a little spike and offered the polar view to the debate here, it did get people to have a go and confront him and at times made you chuckle. I appreciate that the site has grown and developed some close friendships but it sometimes can be in fear of becoming a little to insular and self-congratulating.

 

I dont agree Rah was blatantly just trying to stir things up and talking bull. He was a troll. He didnt add to debates because he wanted to share his viewpoint, he just wanted to be offensive. And look how everyone fled. Now were back! I wouldnt be here if he was still posting up his meaningless crap

 

I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Ronald McRah....

 

I agree to an extent, but for every thought provoking or witty post there was a flood of hundreds of boring shouty ones which put people off posting - old members or new. At one point he was the last poster on just about every thread on the main page of the uk forum, because most of his posts weren't worth the effort of moving your finger on the mouse to click on them let alone take the trouble to respond. His wheat:chaff ratio was astonishingly lopsided and unfortunately it seems to be all or nothing with ronnie...

 

I won't miss Rah, but he did offer a very straight up response to my Victims thread. You see, I became Woe me, it is all about me and everything is me me me. I didn't stop to think about other's. I just sometimes exist in a selfish space. But his response made me realise, 1) I could milk my depression. Or I could discover, change and enhance my life like most people do.

2) Retched is spelt Wretched. I must admit, I flamingoed up on my spelling.

I think he left simply because he thought there was a better pasture. Or that he secretly missed my presence, so as a way to get my attention, I would come tumbling onto the hipforums floor, like Homer Simpson who came to get his job back *cough cough. Obviously Rah left on his own admission. I guess, if he isn't here to defend himself.Like Bond song; live and let live

i'm all for diverse opinions... even ones that are wrong

but there comes a point. a lot of his posts didn't really give his opinions, and then he would state things in a way to bait people into saying something that he'd then turn on them. that's not a way to have a real discussion or debate about something, that is just troll behaviour.

 

and i have to say i noticed Peace-Phoenix didnt say lol he did the haha thing... :| just had to add that.... Besides if we're talking about Rah then arent we doing what he wants by giving him attention??
