Just last night i experienced it again, having memories of other dreams while in a dream, like in real life thinking oh i remember that. ive noticed that when you recall a dream while awake it feels like you always knew it but not consciously, i wonder what other kinds of knowledge we have right below the level of consciousness, stored in the subconsious. Basically im wondering have you experienced this or what do you think might be lurking in our mind just under our conditioned conscious view. "i dream therefore i am not"
Someone once said that dreaming may be the brain doing a file purge, computer style. Be that it as it may, I have this very common dream of flying. It is slow flight, like doing the breast stroke under water. During the dream I am debating whether I am really dreaming or awake. There is an urban feature that I am doing this slow flight along a city street, and as I slowly breast stroke (fly) along the street I am on the lookout for overhead cables and power lines. I flap harder in order to go higher, but try as I might, there are higher cables yet to dodge. (The dream phenomenon of unresolved conflicts is probably very common.) Frequently the dream involves some activity I was good at when younger, such as running or climbing or making love. Of course, dreams being what they are, I'm getting all kinds of recognition for this great running/climbing/whatever. Then the alarm goes off. As for recalling other dreams while in a dream, let's just say that basic themes repeat.
ive had that kind of flying dream a few times. So that kind of horizontal floating flying dream is common for you then try this. The best flying dream i ever had went like this. You say you debate whether its real or not, tell yourself that it is totally fake an in your own mind, then have yourself go horizontal which proves its unreal and then you know the stuff around you is fake and you can fly like a rocket. Later when you land and want to fly again later repeat that process so you dont lose dream awareness.
I've had the flying dream loads of times, not for a while though. It is connected with astral projection. Have you ever ben able to walk through walls in dreams? I had that one last year, the dream was very lucid, and I could really feel the intertia of the matter in the wall as i forced myself through. I could put my hand through solid objects, and i kept doing it to reaffirm that I was dreaming, but after i while I got really paranoid that I WASN'T dreaming. That was one fucking weird dream. Towards the end of the dream I could sort of see through the wall in my room towards the block of flats across the street, and in the windows there were people, faces staring back at me.
About a week ago i had one of those walk through walls dreams. i became lucid and instead of flying like usual i decided to walk through the wall, it didnt work, i tried it a few times and just said forget it and just got all kinky with the girlies. ive floated through a ceiling before and maybe walked through walls.
That's because our minds are conditioned by reality; we can't go through walls in real life but we really don't know that we can't go through ceilings because we never try. Our unconscious/sunconscious is therefore conditioned prior to dreaming.
i learned how to go through walls the other night. press your face against the surface and melt into it. you'll come out the other side.
