Another great one that's somehow still alive today: Doug Stanhope. I have tickets for his local show in a few weeks. Take Carlin, Bill Hicks, and multiply rather than add 'em and BLAM there you go. Ladies and gentlemen, Doug Stanhope. "The booze wouldn’t be necessary were it not for the stigmas about sex that religious touch-holes have embedded into the culture for centuries. Why can’t people grasp and see the ugliness in Jesus? Booze does, however, overcome your fear of bad smells. So does Ecstacy. Or a clothespin." -Doug Stanhope
Stanhope's the shit (i really mean that. no refunds was a blast.), but Bill Hicks remains the ultimate social satirist. I like to see people like Stanhope carrying on that torch in an original way that doesn't try to ride bill's coat tails or bite his work (thanks no cure for cancer.) I really wish more people would check out great comedians like Doug. America really needs to learn to laugh at itself, or just laugh at something somewhat thought provoking.
there is no doubt about it; the coolest man alive is... CM3! (carlton mellick III) just read anything of his! i would recomend to start with "the baby jesus butt plug: a fairy tale." it's short, sweet, hip, and way, way, coolest!
none of 'em. my dad is, hands DOWN, the single coolest, greatest, funniest man of all time! he is HILARIOUS. and the fact that i'm able to talk to him about sex, drugs, depression, etc.....yeah. he's fantastic.
Off of a list of famous people? Sam. The best man I have ever had the pleasure to know is my Uncle David, I've mentioned him a little bit on here... I love that guy.
Where's Denis Leary? he'd definitely get my vote ---- oh and Stipe Mesic. you guys have never heard of him, but he's the president of Croatia...a hilariously inadequate persona, so unfit that one has to love him
