why cant we be good? jacob needleman

    best book i ever read. PERIOD. the problem that everyone has a different on morals yet you dont follow them. why do the things you know are bad?

    when you become more aware of what you are actually doing... teach your children well...from your own exposure...

    He's right listening to others i really important Ibut it sounds to me like more about being non-judgemental "good" being so a relative.

    Rules can't make people be good. It's awarenesses that comes through direct exerience until it's possible to see what comes from our conditioned mind and what comes the tutor within.

    I don't think its something I can teach my children. It would only be one more doctrine.
    But if I can be a living example and provide answers when it's their turn to seek them

    the thing is, i dont think they will seek them from you. i know i dont ask my mom about ANYTHING. i think morals ARE instiled to you by your parents by you watching them your whole life and living how they live. they dont have to teach you its ok to beat animals(eg) they just have to do it and then you think that they think its ok and thats what your suposed to do
