Hello, I ordered some poppy pods for the first time from a respectable online retailer in canada (i live in the us). Upon checking the status of my shipment on ups.com, the status of the shipment was listed as on 'agricultural hold' in buffalo, NY. The ups site since has been updated to say that it is back in transit (though there is no estimated time of delivery like there was before it was put on agricultural hold) Needless to say i am a bit nervous about what was going on in this agricultural hold. If anyone has any similar experience with ordering poppy pods i would love to hear about it. Should i be worried or is this standard procedure?
sounds like standard procedure. I'd assume that a lot of people would just try to mark drugs as anything they can.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Personal experiences with pods bieng held up? wild speculation? Any conversation would be appreciated since i have absolutely nothing to do but refresh this forum and the ups tracking page every 2 minutes. Hell, if they dont arrest me for the poppy pods i ordered i will probably get nabbed for overloading the UPS servers. There has been no movement of my package according to ups.com, but the description inexplicably changed from 'Agricultural Hold' to 'An agricultural hold caused this delay'. Maybe im just bieng paranoid but i fully expect to sign for the box and have 20 dea agents rush into my house, or open up the box and find it empty except for a note telling me I have to go claim my shipment at customs if i want it, or something to that effect.
Got an email from the supplier today, he hadnt responded for over a day, i assumed he was ignoring me so as to not incriminate himself but i was wrong. "It happens sometimes, there is nothing to worry about. I think some export paperwork had an error in it so thats why. I called them to clarify and it should be unheld soon." UPS tracking has the following updates: REGISTERED WITH CLEARING AGENCY / RELEASED BY CLR AGENCY. NOW IN-TRANSIT AGRICULTURAL HOLD / RELEASED BY CLEARING AGENCY. NOW IN-TRANSIT FOR DELIVERY However, there is still no estimated time of delivery. While its not like UPS tracking is going to have 'Seized by DEA, swat team en route, get the F out of dodge' in thier reports. I feel much more confident that im not going to be locked up over this, but ya never know. I dont have any drugs, paraphanelia/etc around the house, so im not worried what happened to that guy in the link you provided is going to happen to me, the only charges they could bring against me would be related to my crafting project. I have searched long and hard and I have really not found much in any forum about individual floral arrangers bieng targetted, only a couple of suppliers the author of a book, and some college kids with other drugs on them.
I'm sure you'll be fine. If anything happens, as long as you play it cool you'll be fine. You don't even have anything around the house.
I just recieved them in the mail, munching on one right now (not the tastiest thing in the world but i guess i can get it down this way, will have to go for a tea in the future) All that worrying for nothing hopefully they live up to the hype, about to find out real soon.

Well im not actually eating all of the material, im basically slowly chewing on them and drinking the juices, then when it doesnt taste foul anymore i spit the cud out. But yeah, there's gotta be a better way to do this. Tommorow the plan is to crush up 3 pods and throw them into a coffee machine and run it through 2-3 times. I ate 2 of them over 3hrs feeling pretty good but definately not overwhelming, i figure munching on another seems like a good idea right now.
Look on google for 5 seconds. I thought you were do9ing that on purpose. Boil them in an acidic water solution for a good 45 minutes. Strain and drink.
just crush them up put hot water on them not boiling but hot and let sit for 30 minutes to an hour filter it and drink yay
