my sister is going to school in the UK....she's leaving for amsterdam today for a little vacation from school. i dont know how long it'll take her to get there, but i'd suspect with the time dfference and all that its only a matter of a few hours before she'll be chilling in a coffeeshoop.... and i haven't smoked anything but mids very recently, and ran out on tuesday oh well, i've got a lousy beer with me. and that spice gold shit i ordered for my buddy should be here sometime around noon. i guess better than nothing, right? :\

i dont idealize amsterdam nearly so much as many stoners. but it would be fun to go. hell, it would be fun to have pot. but i'm a big fan of seeing new places and things, and meeting new people. i also LOVE museums, and there are a few in amsterdam i'd like to see.
yep! her big christmas gift from the parents was a couple tickets to a concert for one of her favorite bands in amsterdam, so that she'd be forced to get off her ass and see more of europe than just canterbury and london....and so she'd have to take friends with her (so as not to waste the extra tickets )
has nothing to do with age, they just wanted her to go see more than just england, and she wasn't likely to just up and do so on her own. she exhibits inertia in most cases, love her though i do. and she only got like concert tickets. the rest is up to her to take care of.

amsterdam is one of my favorite places to visit. the netherlands in general are just really cool. if youre going just to smoke weed, walk through the red light district (or get a prostitute), etc., you´re gonna miss out on a lot of stuff. the more I go back, the more I feel like I DIDNT get to do while I was there. hope your sister has fun! what´s the band, by the way?
stereophonics. i dont really know them. i know i've heard their music and didnt hate it, but i can't for the life of me tell you what its like or any of their songs. i would never go just for pot. i can smoke here. more i want to travel and see various places i haven't seen yet. to be honest, i'd rather see other cities in the netherlands and just stop in to amsterdam for a day or two for various museums and stuff. i'd rather see less touristy areas more though. still, it would be VERY nice to be able to stop into a coffeeshop and just get some nice herb and sit and toke a bit and be on my merry way.... or better yet stop in to a smartshop, pick up a good museum dose of mushrooms, and enjoy the museum dose in an actual museum for once.... van gogh museum on mushroom tea? sounds good to me!
Well, I'm assuming she's younger than you and they're paying for her tickets and perhaps the trip? Maybe I'm wrong to assume that though. I guess I'm just jealous.

I'm going in June. staying at a hostel right next to the van gogh museum and the vondelpark, and by coincidence, there is a festival in that very park starting up while I'm there! if you'd like to go to the netherlands so much, just go for it, amigo!
in the post of mine which you just quoted i said she only got tickets to the concert. the rest of the trip was up to her to take care of if she wanted to make use of the tickets.
