    Hey there,

I am curious if anyone has thought about making a time lapse video of dreads? Obviously it isn't a task for the faint of heart and mildy goes against the point of dreads, however, I think a video of a year or two worth of pictures of natural dreads would be incredible.

how satisfying would it really be though? i mean, a 15 second clip does not even come close to caputring the subjects journey

I think it's a great idea devotech... to take a picture everyday in the same position and see how the hair naturally changes and grows (or shrinks in my case). The thought has crossed my mind but it's definitely a commitment... and in the end I really didn't want to focus on my hair like that everyday... but I would love to watch that if someone else did it. It would probably be very strange and very beautiful. Sort of like those time lapse pictures of flowers opening and closing. Would work best with the progression of natural dreads in my opinion.

Its so weird you should mention a time lapse video. I had the very same idea just yesterday. How cool would that be. I'm thinknig of taking a photo every week in exactly the came location, and putting it all together in about 2 or 3 years.

Like I said, definitely not for the faint of heart as you would be fixating on your hair all the time and could potentially do something that would jeopardise the progress.
