What's the problem? Whenever I go to the bathroom and take a dump

there's blood with the shit(sorry for the word). Until today, I went to the bathroom 3 times, one today, one yesterday and my first experience with this problem happened before yesterday. I never had this before, and this is starting to worry me. Does anyone have a clue what I might have??

 

what color is the blood? dark red? bright red?

 

I don't know why you ask that but it's just normal red. Kinda bright red like you said. Definitely not dark red.

 

Just to rule out potentials--have you eaten any beets lately?

 

Maybe, I'm not sure cuz at my school they give vegetables and I took some the week before. I'm just not sure if there was one in there but I doubt it. This is scaring me, I had a dump today and there was more blood.

You need to go to the doctor IMMEDIATELY, and you should probably get checked for parasites/ecoli. Blood in the stool is a medical emergency. Go to the hospital.

More specifically, see a doc that specializes in Gastroenterology, Most likely it's hemorrhoids, but a colonoscopy will tell you definitively what it is. Do you feel weak or dizzy after you go?

 

I was thinking the same thing, probably hemorrhoids but I would advise you to see a doctor just to make sure.

It could also be anal fischers - but best to see a doctor about it and be sure it isn't anything more serious.

 

start eating some canned fruit to start with or just plain fruit, eat fruit for breakfast and lunch and a dinner with little meat or stodge but with vegetables if that doesn't sort you out see a doctor
