Hi, My alias on this site will be proghippie. If you want you can call me Scott Believe it or not, not shorter than about a year ago I was a straightedge neocon.Then I had some depression and decided to try alcohol for the first time(I have given it up since). I liked it, and then tried weed. I LOVED IT Lol. Pretty soon I came to the realization that all I had been for the past 17 years of my life was a result of what and how people have been telling me to live. Somehow, I was happy because I learned that deep down under the overcoat that is the ego, there was a living breathing autonomous human being. I was a person who had a deep love for everyone, but society had turned me into a cold emotionless robot, not able of showing my true nature in fear of being alienated. (I am not fond of US culture) During this transformation, I took a lot of jumps in my political stance. Bush supporter, to a republican who doesn't like bush. Republican to moderate. Moderate to left, Left to far left with socially liberatarian principles. 5-7 months after the transformation began, I realized my political, social, and economical stances were very close to that of a hippy. I also became interested in psychedelics. I cannot describe how much these helped me fight cognitive dissonance in my journey to psychological enlightenment. (I have tried psylocibin, and LSA. I hope to try LSD and NN-DMT if I can get a hold of any) Anyway, now I feel like a self actualized, but surely alienated individual. welcome and good morning, after an awakening like that i bet ya could use some coffee huh? we all go through our transformations at some point, no matter whetre ya start off at, its where your going that matters and now your here maybe youve got some guidance? doesnt matter sometimjes wandering aimlessly in circlkes is the shortest route between 2 points..lol ya know the interesting part is, right now you may feel like your somewhere but your always on the way
