the thought of eating raw has really made me curious && i would like to try it, but i dont want to order raw bars or other foods off the internet for fear that i will pay a lot of money for something i dont even like. i was wondering where there is a health food store that sells something like that, i looked up the vitamin shoppe but they seem to only carry fitness bars and such, unless im not searching hard enough. so if anyone knows of a store thats organic/vegan/raw in michigan, preferably close to lapeer county ( since im not old enough to drive yet:[ ) then please let me know. any help is greatly appreciated!
There's a Whole Foods in Rochester Hills & another in Troy. If you get to Ann Arbor, there are TONS of health food stores in the area! It looks like the closest store though is Dale's Natural Foods in Flint. I'd definitely try a few locally before paying shipping... it can save you having an entire case of stuff you don't like! love, mom
look for Larabars. also, prepped food might not be the best way to go raw. Perhaps start with spouts, and knocking down to a couple cooked meals per week.
I'd just try to get more into juicing, making a variety of salads & whatnot rather than getting into expensive bars & snacks (though those can be fine in moderation).
I've been really into kombucha lately. Billions of active probotics. These drinks are a little on the expensive side. Wholefoods sells them. Luckily I found someone that makes it herself.
