Has anyone tried to see if you get high off of an epipen (prescribed for an allergic reaction)?

I really don't think that's a good idea... Seriously, getting high off of an epipen? Come on.. if you're looking for an adrenaline rush, do some coke. For christ sake, it'll probably be safer than a fucking epipen. Sorry to sound so harsh. That just doesn't sound very smart.

Just because something is a pharmaceutical doesnt mean you can get high on it, although it would be really cool if that was how it worked. What is an epipen anyways?

It's sillier because no one else has done it. Let someone else figure it out. Don't risk your life to get high especially when you don't even know if you're going to get high. It could be extremely dangerous. It could be perfectly safe. You just don't know, so why risk it? Hell, at least with heroin you know you're gonna get high! I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just looking out for strangers on the internet cause I'm a nice guy :p

knowing from a medical perspective, using an epipen when you don't need it for an allergic reaction could be seriously bad news.

epinephrine speeds up or "jump starts" your heart, in an effort to elicit an adrenaline based, fight or flight survival mode in the body hormones. it will NOT get you high, but make you feel like shit, even if you are in need of the epinephrine. and if you are not in need of it, it could kill you. very easily. especially if you don't know how your body reacts to the epinephrine.

please, please, please don't try this!!

I've taken epinephrine before (which is what is in a epipen), though I didn't inject it. I didn't get high or euphoric from it. I doubt shooting it would make it more interesting, imho.

injecting and inhaling or absorption are very very different. but shooting it would be disastrous. dependent on the dose (of course), injecting it directly into the vein would more than likely prove lethal. injecting it as an epipen is supposed to be injected, into the thigh muscle, would still be a very sickening experience and would be very bad for your cardiovascular system, but probably not lethal. either way though, you're playing on dangerous ground.

A kid almost died at at school when I was like 10 because he was allergic to peanuts.

He had a chocolate bar then thought there were peanuts in it and then used the epipen, it turns out there were no peanuts in the chocolate bar and the kid had to go to the hospital because he started twitching and sweating everywhere.
