yea... i know marijuana forum.. but a lot of ya drink as well... and i figured i'd let ya in on the new Michelob Ultra beers that are out.... they are kinda fufu.. but they are DAMN good... ya definitely should check them out.... Lime Cactus.. Pomegranate Raspberry.. and Orange Grapefruit.... Lime Cactus FTW out of the three.. summer time i will probably easily go through a case of this shit at a time... the Raspberry Pomegranate is awesome as well... and i haven't tried the Orange Grapefruit yet.. i'll just have work get a sample of that one.. im sure it is delicious as well.. just thought i'd let ya know.. any one tried them yet? what do ya think?
I tried those a LONG time ago lol.. I think it was late summer or early fall, and I did enjoy them.. But I'm pretty sure that they are a lot lower alcohol than regular beer right??
Yeah about a month ago we got a case of the pomegranate raspberry to see if it would sell at the liquor store I work at. Well, it didn't, so I "dropped one" and had to "pour it out" in the back. It was pretty good, and a lot better than I expected a fruit infused beer to taste. I'd still go with AmberBock if I'm drinking Michelob.
With fruit flavored beer, generally one or two are good, but hten they just get gross, and u just kinda want regular beer, atleast thats how it is for me and alot of other people
Corona is the piss of mexican beers.. fuckin disgusting... 40oz... well.. if ya aint black or homeless... wtf are ya doin with a 40oz... another disgusting swill.. it's not all i drink for beer... i like St. Pauli Girl... Stella Artois... Lowenbrau... and PBR and Busch Light when im on a budget... the new mich ultras are 4.2%.. i think regular mich ultra is only like 2somethin
there was this really outstanding beer Relayer bought for me, can't remember what it was. I'm on my usual Ballantine routine tonight, maybe I'll throw in some of these T3's. "maybe", heehee.
I don't like corona, but even if I did I wouldn't drink it cause they are a big supporter of mexican bull fighting.
The place i work at has a beer list of 100 beers that are constantly being changed in and out... 80 of which are imports and micros.. so i get to try a lot of different beer
also minnesota is one of five states that has Anheiser-Busch's best kept secret ever... Michelob Golden Light... it was only released in the upper midwest as a test market.. did so well that they did not release it state/world wide because they did not want it to become AB's biggest seller and have to change the face of Anheiser-Busch.. since they were happy with the Budweiser Horses.. this is not a made up story.. i have heard this from many A-B reps... so if you are ever in the midwest... get yourself a Mich Light
i love me some mich ultras...but for fruity beer...pyramid apricot FTW....i will pick up these new michs for the weekend.
40oz of bud, miller and corona? Thats what i call classy! My personal favorites are dogfish head, fat tire and troegs.
The place I work at has an ever growing inventory of alcoholic drinks, currently around 7,500. I am in charge of breaking about $2,000 worth of defective, broken, or old shit every day. Lindeman's Framboise is my favorite fruity beer so far. Raspberry.
that is some good shit... we got a sample in once... also i think its ACE that makes a pear beer that was really good
Therse a place in Pittsburgh that i worked at for a month or so, and hang out at all the time that has 1000 brands of beer. Not 1000 beers...1000 BRANDS of beer. This is a bar by the way, not a store.
^^^ thats crazy.. i bet they throw away a lot.. or just have a really small inventory of most of them... even still they are throwing beer away
hmmm....in general i think most michelob products i've tried, i've hated. i did get the world styles mixed package or whatever its called though, when i wanted some half-decent beers, and i was pretty surprised by two of them and at least found the other two more than drinkable for the price. i didnt think their marzen was good (sam adams has a much better marzen, and i think is more authentic aside from just being far richer and tastier) but it still tasted good enough to me that it was drinable. it just wasn't a good octoberfest. the pale ale was entirely uneventful and rather low on flavor if i remember correctly, but it still was good enough to not pitch it. the hefeweizen i was surprised by. it was not nearly as rich and malty as the classics like ayinger, paulaner, hacker-pschorr, or fransiskaner or the likes, but still with a very authentic flavor profiles. obviously the right ingredients were used, right down to the yeast, but it tasted a bit watery to me. still you got the flavors of bubblegum, clove, banana, spice....but a very bright, enjoyable flavor despite the wierd mixture of flavors. definitely a typical german style hefeweizen. i've tried a couple american beers which don't use authentic yeasts and therefore do not develop the typical underflavors of a bavarian hefeweizen. they are simply american ales which contain some wheat. widmer hefeweizen and shiner hefeweizen, in my isolated tastings of them, have never tasted a damn thing like a hefeweizen. i was surprised by how authentic the michelob hefeweizen tasted, but it was still just short of being good. the porter, when served at room temperature, is a very nice porter with a bit of a cocoa taste to it if i remember properly. i was pretty pleased with it. all in all i thought they were all at least what i expected for the price, but the hefe and the porter i found better than i expected, though still not amazing at all. everything else i've had of theirs, including amber bock, i've found drinkable but definitely inferior beers. not undrinkable if my budget demands it, but never a first choice. i've not tried the flavored ones, though. i'd be willing to give one a try, but reluctant to pay money for them.
