hello all....wondering if anyone is familiar with the book Drop City. I'm reading it now and really enjoying it.
I read T.C.Boyles book earlier this summer..It was really funny and sad and adventurous. A great story!
I just bought it two hours ago, in english. Didn´t start yet, still reading Ash Wednesday (Ethan Hawke).
I had never heard of it before, it was in a box of auction stuff and I just started reading it and can't put it down. It makes me wish even more I grew up in the era my parents did.....
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that book. It is quite possibly one of the greatest books I ever read. T.C. Boyle is god! -Kate
I´m like half through it now and I really like it so far!!! But good gosh, there are tons of words in it I ´ve never heard before!! Luckily I have a huge dictionary... lol
It's about a hippy commune in California that uproots to Alaska. Well obviously there's more to it than that. Weep: Never had that problem myself, it seemed pretty straight forward.
English is a foreign language to me (and I bought the english version of the book ) and therefor, there are tons of words in this book that I´ve never heard or read before :& (it´s not written as plain and EASY as I was used to read).
I kinda didn´t like the end of it, it came too fast I still wonder how it would go on with all of them...
I'm currently reading this book and am about 3/4 through it. It's a good book and I like it so far, but I don't think it's the best I've ever read. Still, a good story. Peace.
weep, don't hesitate to PM me with word questions. The English language is my life (I'm a writer) and my vocabulary is frightening.
awwwww, that`s sooooo sweeeeeet of you!! You´re a writer? What kinda stuff do you write? Did you published anything yet?
