thin dreads ahhhh!

    Ive heard that this can cause issues with weak spots in later life and in some cases it can stop the root from knotting properly...

    dont! you will stop the root from dreading, - render root rubbing useless.

    undo if you can.

    i love fatties, too. don't fret...mine started out thin and now they are nice and fat.

    how many did you start with and how many did you congo together Kattoo?

    hmm..good question. i never counted when i started but as of now all my dreads have pretty muched congoed with nearby dreads. these are my before and afters. first pic at 3 months, middle pic at 14 months (u can see they are doubled up), and last pic at 15 months:

    nice pics
    the op says hes only got 34...my hairs very thick but id think 34 would cause thick dreads
    i have well over 150 (mixed thin n thick) so id think unless his hairs really thin less then 1/3 the number should result in an average thickness nearly 3 times as thick

    there thinner than a pencil how long would u say till they got atleast thumb thickness?

    thats not all that thin...i meant they will do what they want to do when they want to do it
    nobody can say it will happen in weeks months or anything or if it will for sure
    all we can say is that chances are they will thicken some
    you dont even have dreads yet really, they take longer to really become full mature dreads
    stop worrying how they look, and let them become real dreads before u start worrying bout thickness and all that
    cause i can tell u...when theyre mature, thick thin wavy or straight it wont matter what u think u pregffer now, you'll love em exactly the way they turn out on theyre own
