Hey! Does anyone know the current law of fresh magic mushrooms in amsterdam? IF they r still legal, when r they actually going to become ilegal? Thanks!
Mushrooms are still legal in the Netherlands. There are proposals to make them illegal, but it hasn't passed yet, so no final date of sales yet.
Howdy. I just got back from Amsterdam a couple of hours ago and was eating mushrooms there last night. What they did is make dried ones illegal, fresh ones are in all the souvenier shops. They keep them in coolers like for pop, all kinds. Mushroom tea too in tea bags. While I'm at it Popeye's, The Resin and Anyday all had exceptionally good hash and The Resin had AK47 weed. Everything was good actually. I spent alot of time at The Reggae Two good selection and nice folks, thier Zero Zero hash is top notch too. So don't worry about mushrooms there, there for sure.

Dried mushrooms have been illegal for about 6 years. This ban has been strictly enforced recently with several Amsterdam smart shops being closed permanently when they were caught selling dried mushrooms. The current proposals are for banning fresh mushrooms.
Happy to see a thread on Amsterdam mushrooms here... I was there last in 1998 and had the cyanacens (dried) - very powerful! Almost too much for me, but made it through. I was there November 2006, and had fresh Mexicans. I was not that impressed actually. Bought them in the RLD area. I will be there next week on a solo vacation, and was wondering about the new laws. I am glad to hear that they're still selling shrooms. I am planning to try the Philosopher's Stones, and hang out at the Conscious Dreams on Kerkstraat.
