thinking about joining the army

i dont exactly have the ability to remain stable, at least, i get pretty angry pretty fast sometimes and curse people off... im sorry, i mean, i guess both of us misunderstood the others intentions, and the feet thing, well, my roomate in the hospital refused to wash his feet and he had some sort of sore on them, stunk up the whole room for the time i was there

 

BTW- of what I've seen, HHB does not bullshit. The truth is going to serve you way better in the long run.

um once again if you are already drawing disability due to your schizophrenia, the army by LAW can not take you until you have been released by a medical panel paid for by the social security and disabilities administration.

should they release you,you WILL still have your medical records reviewed by the military before the except you,which once again,more than likely they wont..

the process of getting off disability takes about as long as the one to get on so ,dont plan on bein able to join up for at least a year after ya decide to go that route...

i know the laws on disability.
1, it is illegal for you to be employed on disability,unless its approved by the social security administration and your pay and hours worked etc. is based on the % that you are deemed disabled and approved by them.
2 it is illegal for anyone to hire someone collecting disability and not follow the guidelines set by the SSA.

i also know the procedures to get off disability,just go to the social security web site..

I know that the military will not accept anyone that is on disability of 30% or more period even if its military disability and youve already been through basic etc.

how do i know all these things? i actually try an do a lil research on the subjects i type on..

so the rest is derived from a little common sense.

I haven't even read the other replies, i just had to respond emmediately. You said murder isn't one of your beliefs and that you have serious mental health problems. Those two things alone are damn good reasons not to join the army. I joined the national guard when i was 21 and i'm here to tell you that the army is no place for anyone who is different in any way or does not subscribe to the killing solution mentality. You've got time, find another way to travel!

 

no one comes back the same from the millitary...no one.
You make the call on rather thats a good or bad thing.
But I would give up everything if my Ex boyfriend could be himself again.
so think about the people you care about before you run off and ruin your life.
