If you read all the descriptions of what an indigo child is like, every child is a fucking indigo child.

Stupid fucking 21st Century parents wanting their kids to be something different and special. Bleh.

Every kid is a "fucking" indigo? How many children can see the future or read minds or have memories of past lives?

It doesn't narrow down to those three things.

Sounds interesting...the concept does at least. Thanks for putting the article up :D
I think the 'avatar' kid example/story was just plain stupid though. My friend and I fall into these Indigo concepts...just didn't know there was a name for it. Go figure.

I guess...but then again, there are plenty of people that don't fall into those characteristics

indigo's are actually quite unique children. some of my friends say that I am an indigo child, but I just dont see it. I am much more interested in crystal children though, of which I think my son is one.
Doreen Virtue has many books about the indigo's and crystal children if anyone wants to look her up.

I believe a lot in the Indigo Child theory... look at the proof, look at the world, look at today's generation. This all goes along with the rumblings of a revolution...

I don't know enough about the indigo child thing, but I think this theory might apply to that concept.

No, I can't say I really accept the validity of it, let alone believe it has any kind of profound meaning. There's some new age stuff I do believe in, but when I read the criteria, it seems as if it would apply to a disproportionate number of people considering it's supposed to be some special exclusive status.

I think that the spread of ideas and liberal thought is what is bringing about this change. Marshall McLuhan's media theories might apply, actually.

I do believe in some psychic phenomena...I've even had some of these experiences. But the Indigo Children theory sounds like a hoax. And apparently I would be an Indigo Child.

hey...I just noticed this is my 1000th post. The new age people told me this would give me a green halo and x-ray vision. Let's see if it works...hahaha

It may seem far out to some (and that's ok) but I believe in the indigo theory.
To me it's something that should be investigated. Our history shows that all great empires fall.Who can really say what the future may bring?Indigo children maybe more than a false hope or a hoax,we really don't know.Whether you believe in it or not does'nt matter much to me but I'd hope that more would keep an open mind about it and not become closed minded.Hippies have always been more open minded than other people (at least the hippies I know).I wonder how many people have really looked into the thoery, before putting it down as nonsense.
I'd suggest; The Indigo Children:The new kids have arrived by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober. It's a good book to get aquinted with the Indigo theory and learn more about it.It also goes more in depth as the book progresses.

i used to be very open about the theory did plenty of research, this was back in the day when i researched things, and i like what i read, only because it made me feel special, but i m paranoid, this whole thing seems like a cult, just in the way it was brought to my attention, its as if people r trying to sell their beliefs and although i think the ideas are cool, im wary about the motives of the people trying to sread the word, information becomes like a virus, its sread by simple words, and can consume another ones minds

I can see how you can feel that way.It always seems a little like that to me with any new age ideas. When I get asked for money, time, seminars or anything like that I always shy away.I never have a problem looking into new stuff,to stay informed and learn something, but at some point they all offer to get you involved in some way (sell something, whatever).I've never really been pressured about anything though.I get paranoid also.

The indigo child theory is true, and, although more profound and prevalent today (making it more readily identifiable and definable) it's not that new a concept. I'm a 44 year old indigo. I fit all the criteria and it is very real...

I'm really sorry about your condition, but Schizofrania has nothing to do with you upbringing or your enviroment. It's really nobody's fault, just a neurological problem.

In Fact, imagine all the possibilities of famous people past or present that may fit the Indigo profile ? First one that comes to my mind would be Thoreau... How about Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, Cobain ? Hmmm...? Can you think of any others ?

Indeed - but then there have always been mavericks, people that buck the trend.. calling them Indigo's is a bit of a stretch. Cause if they were, that disproves the common theory that it's a new phenomenon caused by the "Age of Aquarius" or some such bollocks.

Maybe it's the "EVOLUTION" just finally catching up with itself...
