How do you recognize an undercover?

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but as I meet more and more stoners in my area, i start to wonder... who can be trusted?
How do you spot an undercover? Any signs?

 

Look for the sheet! They will have it covering themselves!! BOO!!!

Being in the D undercovers are abundant. the main thing is they ALWAYS want to tell you a bunch of shit that you dont need to know. when a motherfucker starts talking about how is wife is leaving him what he ate for lunch and who i think is going to win the baseball game i tell him to pound sand. Business transactions should be short and to the point.

I guess it would be worth it to mention, if you are just buying herb i wouldn't worry about it too much, it usually isn't worth their time trying to bust people selling pot.

 

ask if their a cop, straight up. if i feel the need to i will ask, better safe than sorry

How old are you? Cops never lie. Right?

 

Wouldn't ignoring the law make any evidence they found worthless anyway?

yes they do, if they dont tell you its entrapment, so if you get introuble, the case would be thrown out. of course the cop is going to try and avoid telling you by changing the subject and whatever but if you keep at it he will have to tell you

Now, if a cop came up to you and asked to buy a dime, regardless of whether you ask if hes a cop or not, its entraptment. see the difference?

 

Ignoring the law is too broad a statement to give a yes or no answer. In serious situations (ie: search warrent) big yes. Tricking you into giving consent to search your car to find 1/2 a roach in the ashtray - no.

It sucks because you think they would be more "honorable" (some are btw nice guys and cool). Others will lie and if need be lie in court. The old rumour of having the unknown guy "take a hit" to weed out the narc was another myth. They will take a hit and still arrest you after they have gotten what was needed.

There is a DVD out called "never get busted again" (Barry Cooper?) and the ex-cop stated (not implied but stated) that the drug dog can be made to do a false alert if need be (flagrant illegal search). Meaning alls fair in love and war.

Bottom line is be careful and keep the circle of trust tight.

"entrapment" !! lol, dude, just cause it's in BLOW doesnt mean shit when you are on the streets. hopefully you will listen to this and not find out the hard way

 

entrapment is real. Like I said if it really is a law that an undercover has to reveal their self to you; find a credible link and I will insert my foot into my mouth. But I dont see that happening as that isnt a real law.

cops do not have to identify themselves as one if asked. i mean seriously, who in there right mind would believe a cop would actually tell the truth to a potential con if it means they get another arrest so they can get props from there buddies and there bosses. they will fuck anyone over (except other cops) if it is beneficial to them. even if it is a law, who in a jury is going to believe a "law breaking drug addict" or an "honorable police officer" a.k.a " a self righteous, controlling, peice of shit".

btw... im not saying there arent cool cops out there, because i have lucked out a couple times by getting picked up by some, but you cant trust anyone, expecially someone you dont know.

 

Listen to what they say, the slang will usually be different. Trust your instincts. Walk away if necessary. It's a difficult one to answer, try to use your best personal judgement. Perhaps try to deal with people you know or have known who you're sure aren't affiliated with the police. Be aware of your surroundings. Watch out for 'stings'

 

Thanks for the advice so far guys; I agree though; cops can lie all they want and get away with it. They don't have to tell you that they're a cop.
I'm just paranoid because most of my coworkers are stoners too, and it seems too good to be true; plus i'm just paranoid cuz i'm paranoid its a vicious cycle...
