Anyone else catch it. Its the first time I saw one. I thought it was pretty rad when the moon was red.
i did, i watched it eclipse... it was sweet. there isnt going to be another one for 3 years i think. the moon turned all reddish..
One of my customers told me a few hours before it happened. I would've loved to see it, but I was working. Maybe next time.
my mom was driving at the time and she called me when she noticed it, so i stepped outside and looked at it for a minute. i've seen lunar eclipses before though, and don't find them that exciting
Stinkfoot! DO you do photography as a living? I have such a passion for it and miss my darkroom, and those photos are stunning.
I dont really understand the lunar eclipse, however. Why does it turn red, and why is the corner so shiny when it is almost covered?
Don't quite know the reason for the color... could be that the red end of the spectrum is what reflects off the moon when it's otherwise in the Earth's shadow. The moon didn't pass directly through the center of the Earth's shadow, which would be alot bigger than the moon if you could see it. The pictures I took during the total phase of the event were longer exposures which made the moon much brighter than it actually appeared to the naked eye... and the reflected light would be brighter on the side of the moon that was closer to the edge of the earth's shadow.
Wow man. I went to your gallery to look at the eclipse photos but fell in love with the sunset shots on page 3. They are breathtaking.
