Official Pot Food Recipe Thread

    not sure if there are one of these already...if so delete it. Thought it might be a good idea to compile good pot recipes...ones that you created yourself and others you found off the internet. Pot food is a great way to experience a new high with your marijuana. Please share your recipes!

    I'll start with a classic butter recipe that can then be used to make a number of different things. This recipe was taken from another website and is not my own. I have used it successfully.

    1) Using a double boiler or two pots, melt the butter on low heat. When using two pots, fill the larger (bottom) pot with water and the top pot with butter.

    2) Once the butter has melted, add the weed. The amount of weed will determine the potency. For example, a "light" batch may use 3/4 of an ounce of weed to 5 sticks of butter.

    3) Simmer for 20-30 minutes stirring every 5 minutes.

    4) Let sit for 5 minutes then strain the pot butter (using cheesecloth) into a small bowl.

    5) Once cool enough to handle, pick up the cheesecloth and squeeze out the juice.

    6) Cover and refrigerate until semi-solid.


    You can then use this butter to make a number of things including brownies...pasta...really anything that has butter in the recipe.

    Heres another simple recipe for a weed tea that I like making sometimes. If you do it correctly then it works great!

    gently simmer 1 gram cannabis per cup whole milk for 20 minutes...remove from heat and steep 1 mint tea bag per cup for 4 - 6 minutes...strain and refrigerate...stores well for at least one week I make a version of this with sugar and alcohol and liquor flavouring. I use 10% cream instead of whole milk and at Least 7 grams of cannabis per cup of cream...stores well for about 6 - 12 months...one ounce per serving

    i swear by that butter recipe i usually make shortbread. then decorate them with smarties. it never fails.. it makes the house smell a little rancid
    i will have to make the second one and see how that goes. these recipes are a great way to use the leaf, rather than throw it out[​IMG]

    I've never made cannibutter, when I make brownies I grind the pot into a fine powder using a strainer and mix it with the oil I'll be using. Then I nuke it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, let it cool and add it to a brownie recipe or mix. Never fails!

    I once put pot powder into Thanksgiving turkey stuffing!

    Just thinking about this wanted to try eating instead of vaping or smoking so:

    Threw some SSH (2-3 more than vaping) on some butter then took another and covered it. Poured some milk into a pot then put the butter into milk and finally a little bit of water to mix the two and have incase evaporation.

    Stirred occasionally simmered for about 1hr, then poured into a coffee cup and added coco mix for some hot coco. Didn't bother to strain, just felt like eating/drinking and winged it.

    Been t+1hr and no real effects I'm thinking I should have put more mj but if I have to put 1 g of ssh when I can just vap .25 than that sucks cause the coco was tasty.

    I found this tea recipe on a another forum and its fantastic, best tasting tea ive ever had and it got my so fucking stoned.



    1) Crush up 1 gram of nice kind-bud as fine as you can get it and put it in a teabag (you can unstaple any teabag, replace with ganja, and re-staple or paperclip). You can omit the teabag if you have something to strain your tea through when it is done like a gold coffee filter or cheesecloth.

    2) Put 1 cup of water in a medium saucepan or tea kettle and heat over high until boiling.

    3) Reduce to a low boil and add your ganja teabag (or loose ganja) with **1/2 teaspoon of butter** (you will not get any effect without this ingredient. NO MARGARINE.). Stir until dissolved.

    4) Cover and let simmer for 1 hour.

    5) Stir in one cup of whole milk, along with cinnamon, sugar and allspice to taste. You can also add an herbal teabag like African redbush or licorice, if desired). Bring back to boil and simmer for 15 minutes.

    6)Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 30 seconds and transfer to large mug (through filter if not using teabag). Sprinkle with nutmeg.
