Yea im 19 and listen mostly to modern shit. My dad and my uncle are always putting it down and like you need to listen to real music. So the other day i downloaded a few Zep and Floyd albums and they are soo good.
Like theyre music has such depth and talent.
Floyd is so chill. I always thought they were like the "Another Brick in the wall" song which i hate. But songs "like shine on you crazy diamond" are so sick. And the guitar in Zep are so good.
But yea, rap sucks unless its Weezy.

same except my friends introduced me to them a few years back. my parents either played italian songs or motown and motown wasnt untill i was 10. my mom would always out the motown songs on when she was drunk and we would dance with her not noticing she was hammerd. but the songs were pretty good. i thought motown was a band too... haha

Actually the vast majority of the Motown songs were all played by the same group of musicians, they called themselves the Funk Brothers. The Funk Brothers played on more number one records than the Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones And The Beach Boys combined. They played all the music for Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and the list goes on and on.

I have to agree though, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin are amazing. The thing about bands like Led Zeppelin and the Beatles are that all their albums are great. But there are other single albums by other bands that should be required listening. You should give the album Bridge of Sighs by Robin Trower a listen some time.

Oh gods, because we really need another person to bitch about how music has gone down the drain. Weezy is one of the worst rappers I've ever heard by the way. Try Aesop Rock, Public Enemy, KRS-One, etc.
