recently, I was talking to my father and somehow we got on the topic of gay rights. Being gay myself, I told him I was a strong believer in gay rights. Now, I havent come out to my dad because he is, well, psychotically Christian may be an understatement.. Of course, he is also very accepting of others (or should I say tolerant...) no matter how wrong he thinks they are.

Anyways, back to my story. He started asking why I had started supporting this. I non-chalantly replied with my famous, "I don't know." unfortunately, he was unsatisfied with this answer, and before you knew it, I was backed in a corner, and was going to have to come out. That is until my step-mother chimed in with her infinite knowledge of the conversation: did you hear!? Theyre going to start teaching its okay to be gay, at all the schools. Isn't that terrible!? (no sarcasm.. At all -_-) my dad and I were completely dumbfounded by this satement, and he quickly forgot about the conversation..

My question is, should I be thankful or angry towards my stepmother? I'm a little confused..

Be thankful that she knows you're gay and that she knew it was not the time or place to come out.

Maybe I'm not giving her credit, I never really thought about that, didnt think she was capable, but she just spent the last 10 weeks silurrounded by gay guys, it actuallymakes sense..
