what are you defining as hippies? Fuckin wooks selling their bunk ass molly? Trustifarians with dreadlocks who go on tour? original hippies who are now aged? People who hold true core values about caring for each other and the earth? So many possibilities, you need some clarity. colorado has its share of hippies. From denver to durango and all points in between. Lots of the old heads have scrambled up the canyon to Manitou Springs or up the other canyon to Nederland. Some of stayed in denver area, some have gone to durango. Boulder is full of a bunch of kids who think its cool to smoke pot and talk about being crunchy and then go get in their new bmw and cruise off (not that's anything wrong these folks) but Boulder is definitely more new age.
