My name is Logan and I go to SIUE, Edwardsville, IL, the fucking midwest. One of the biggest reasons I joined is to hopefully make friends. Being a hippy in the midwest is few and far between, and very sadly I have no friends that have the same interests as me. (I have friends, no worries, but I have no hippy friends). I am an art student and even still I have yet to meet any true hippies. Almost everyone around here is the same person. consumer whore, like only things that are popular simply because they are popular, oblivious to the worlds' goings on, indifferent, hicks. I don't mean to cut down, there are some good people out here, but growing up in a town with 2500 of them and then moving 35 miles down the road for college, it doesn't give you much diversity if you know what i mean. And it can certainly diminish the good will of the lone hippy. What it comes down to is that I need to move to California. But since I will be stuck here for college for a while, I hope that any local peaceful people will find me quickly. I need some real like-minded friends.

Wow that was some fast replying. Thank you both for the welcome. Well, California is just so beautiful and filled with good people and vibes. Except for the fall foliage change, Illinois is stagnant in both. Though it is a lot cheaper to live.
