Yum, BREAD. =D Actually after some ganj and some grotta pizza my mom brought home from the beach, some eggs and some brownie ice cream im about to eat home made bread. So much better then whatever meat... No, Jess, I dont work at that deli anymore.
alright, I actually saw those videos this morning before my bio class. it seriously disturbed me, I think I hate the world even more than already did now - I mean, I knew this kinda shit (and even worse shit) happened but actually see it.. those poor cows being pushed by machines and crying in pain.. oh my god it was awful, I wish I'd never seen it, I wish I could erase this shit from my memory seriously..
I work at Jack in the Box, and we were definately affected. All of our jumbo patties (used for Jumbo Jacks, Sourdough Jacks, etc) had to be trashed... So instead we're substituting the meat for other patties. A friend of mine, an old coworker, used to work at a slaughter house, and said that this shit happens all the time, despite the regulations. he says it desensitizes you.
Yeah, I love meat. It would be nice if we could all afford nice and organic meat... So it's nice, cheap, mass-produced, steak for me. Yummy.
Penny- well I'm glad some other people were as bothered as I was.... those videos WERE terrible. Yeah... I believe how it would desensitive you... I could never imagine working in one of those places though. Oh and as for the local organic meat being more expensive- that's why if I chose to eat meat at all from someone local I just wont eat it very often- maybe once every week or once every two weeks... shrugs... you'd apprieciatte it more then you'd think.
