considering most of the time I leave toast untouched when its served to me, I can think of far worse tragedies
according to quantum theory... there is a VERY small chance that bread would melt instead of toast...but the chance is there and thats pretty cool...
that'd be pretty wierd, if you put bread in the toaster and then a couple minutes later it pops up and goo flings everywhere...
Considering the weight and aerodynamics of toast it might be a bit more difficult to reach with a racket than a tennis ball when served.
I'm sure that the toaster wouldn't be a common household appliance, if bread reacted to heat by melting.
