Well they know how long to make the rope and etc for a clean kill so i would imagine that doesnt happen to often now a days but then again i doubt they do many hangings anymore. But wouldnt they have some sort of precautionary measure in case your neck wouldnt snap. Like a firing squad or something. And even if your neck didnt snap i dont think you would be alive for very long. Cause if you've ever done the "pass out game" your out in a couple of seconds.
yea, i believe they used to have a firing squat to shoot if you were still kicking. thats badass. you have to get shot after getting hung. i want to be that guy
Well maybe work out your neck muscles and commit a crime that would get you the death peneltly and maybe you could be that guy.
Firing squad. Pretty sure it leaves you with less physical damage than the rest. I atleast want to look good when I go in the ground.
yeah, firing squad. classic. I'm going to insist they wear blindfolds too though, spice things up a little.
Blindfolds were for their benefit more than those who were being shot. I do believe firing squads were often random folks who volunteered or were picked to do so, and I think the blindfolds were to keep them from knowing who really shot the target and who missed to keep them from being overly guilt stricken. Plausible deniability is sometimes needed just for your self comfort.
for the same reason, they sometimes only loaded one gun with real bullets and the rest with blanks. i would imagine it was always one or the other, never both
