I'm open to suggestions for some new musicians creating the weirdest spoken word (maybe?)
    small, intimate electronic sounds. etc.

(I've got all the Godspeed, Mogwai, Sigur Ros stuff for now, thanks)

I also like Venitian Snares and all but this time around I'm looking for something less intense ...more along the lines of Aphex Twins Melodies From Mars or
satalitte radio 'Special X' type stuff
    Maybe
    old The Orb-esque.

    Etc.
Songs that can kind of tell a story without words.
    With words? Whatever...

    C'mon Post!
and give me the weirdest stuff you got!

    Aphex twin - Drukqs
Autechre - Incunabula or Untilted (That's the two extremes of their sound, if you like them, or think a mix would sound good try Chiastic slide All are great)
Boards of Canada - Geogaddi (they do amazing things with word samples and distorted nostalgic sounds that will amaze the ears)

Animal collective - Strawberry Jam - best album of 07 in my opinion and its right up your alley I think!

A Silver Mt Zion, or Thee silver mt Zion memorial orchestra and tra-la-la band or whatever the fuck they call emselves these days.. go for "he has left us alone but shafts of light still penetrate the corners of our rooms", Horses in the Sky, "This is our punk rock, thee rusted sattelites gather and sing", and Born into trouble as the sparks fly upward.

As far as story without music, get Esmerine - Aurora, and any Fly Pan Am or Explosions in the Sky.
