This may be a repeated topic but I looked back a few pages and didnt see anything.... What is everyones favorite music to listen to while baked? I know I enjoy listening to some jimmy hendrix, the beatles, guns n roses, greatfull dead, and rush to only name a few. Music sets the perfect mood. I know sometimes when im blazed I pretend like im the person making the music and start jamming with my air guitar hehe
Some of hendrix, I used to love Rush but ive sorta gotten over them now i dunno i jsut stopped listneing to them The Beatles are the tops So is David Bowie's 70's stuff
I'll never get over Rush. They're incredible progressive rock. I like the song "Subdivisions" when I'm high. I like a lot of progressive rock when I'm high. I like to listen to Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Yes, Procupine Tree, Pink Floyd, stuff like that. A lot of funk fusion is really cool to listen to when you're high, too. The song "Joan Crawford has Risen from the Grave" is really weird when you're high, so is "Don't Fear the Reaper". Jimi is one of my favorite gutarists, but I can't listen to him when I'm stoned. He's got too much feedback and such. It's simply not trippy enough for me. The song "Dazed and Confused" by Led Zeppelin is cool when you're high because it's at such a slow tempo, and the bass line is so slow and relaxing. Bob Marley can be very relaxing when you're high, although it's hard to identify with some of the more "rise up against" songs of his because of my being middle-class under no type of oppression or hardship. But, I like this song in particular. "Three Little Birds" "I said don't worry, every little thing... is gonna be all right. Rise up this mornin', smiled with the risin' sun. Three little birds sit by my doorstep. Singin' sweet songs of melodies pure and true saying this is my message to you. Babe don't worry, 'cause every little thing, is gonna be all right." I like uplifting music like that when I'm high. Comfortably Numb, Sheep and Shine on you Crazy Diamond are all good songs by Pink Floyd to listen to when you're stoned. I love the entire Animals album for stoner music.
I find Band of Gypsies era Hendrix to be good smoking music along with the Dead and King Crimson and well most 60s-70s music really
I listen to anything i listen to when I'm sober really. Weed really brings the best out of the Ozric Tentacles though... Music is one of the main reasons I smoke.
heh as in progressive stuff... i like dream theater but in my cd-player right now i have the new mase cd
Man most of you are all stuck in a time warp, don't you listen to any new stuff. Oldies wise I like Floyd, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Sly and the Family Stone and all the rest. New stuff wise I like Kings of Leon, Aphex Twin, latest Primal Scream stuff, Ian Brown, Michael Franti, Orbital etc etc.
Hey folks..I'm a guitar player (Berklee School of Music) and I'm currently working on my own CD project. I promise you...it will blow you away if you like guitar a la Hendrix, Jeff Beck, etc. If I can figure out how to upload some snippets on to this site I will. This CD will be a true breakthrough...I'm "Little Bobby G"
We r stuck in a time warp? I don't know maybe we are- But what so wrong with music of the 60's and early 70's-It's feel good music, authentic, and has great vibes man! Me, I may be stuck in a time warp but I like-The Doors, Cream,Hendrix, CSN&Y And I llike some newer stuff 2-depends on who it's by though- Velvet Revolver, Incubus, Michelle Branch, Puddle of Mudd,Damien Rice- But most other new bands/artists suck- If people put out good music that wasn't so mechanical-maybe there would be more of us that would tune in to it.
Hey Bobby. I have a friend named Matt Brown who goes to Berklee Boston. Do you know of him? What classes are you taking?
techno, and third eye blind (jumper), oasis (wonder wall and champainge supernova), anything within that range
when im stoned i mostly listen to sonic youth, beck, and if im with friends ill put on darkside of the moon.
Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Incubus (yes they have some good music), Phish, Hendrix, Sublime and Tom Petty. In related news, i had a really strong high recently and i turned on the music choice channels to the latin music station. I felt like i was in the mexican band playing an acoustic concert for a group of old folks in Florida. My air guitar had never felt to smooth and realistic before.
my favorites have to be snoop dogg and bob marley, don't dis rap and hip-hip...and yes they are different
You mean uneducated, and lacking morales when you say different right? I like to listen to Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Zombies, Cream, Hendrix, and of course, PINK FLOYD!
