Terrible stoner movies.

That's what I was thinking too lol. Those aren't meant for adults. Or for anyone over 14 like you said.

it looks pretty wierd im not sure how funny it looked even on the commercials. like when they keep showing that shark with that dumbass laugh.

what about movies like napolean dynomite, blades of glory or the newest one superbad etc. for example? i think them type of movies are pretty funny but i wouldnt call the "stoner" movies. the humor in them movies isnt directed twards pot smokers IMO but i think its the same type of comedy as like harold and kumar, grandmas boy etc. america is having a kick making movies that are just so "obvious funny" you either like them or you dont. i dont mind them at all i like that kind of humor because alot of it is just add-lib or whatever its called. most of them movies arnt really scripted they just start filming them say lines and pick the best ones. will farrell is one of the top actors for this type of humor.

hopefully everything i said made sence theres alot of people that watch them movies just to see what happens and now days we get the dvds just to see different takes of them same stuff LOL.

 

Those shows aren't meant for anybody. Seriosuly. Nickelodeon used to have good cartoons. I worry about what this generation of kids are going to be like. Because when they watch shit like Drake and Josh, they're going to think that's cool. There really aren't any good kids shows anymore. I can watch the old cartoons that used to be regular's on Nick and still laugh. Things like Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, Dexter's Lab, The Rugrats! And I can guarentee you no kid today watches Bug's Bunny. Makes me sick.

 

lol yea i loved rocko! and ren and stimpy. Although when I see it now if its EVER on I can't believe that shit was on then. It's pretty bad.

dexters lab and arnold were popular a few years after i stopped watching that stuff. But hey i loved looney toons! Classics

at one point in the movie they are in rehab and they are sitting in the managers office or whatever and while she was on the fone the black dude pullled a spliff out of his dreads and sparekd it right in front of her
i would actually order it over the internet if i had the money for it cuz i cant find it at any store

seinfeld is great they just all work so well together. its a show about nothing what more can you ask for? when it was new you never knew what was going to happen when new episodes were comming out.

actually sitcoms and tv shows are pretty much completely different forms of comedy then the comedy in movies. most of the shows and comedy edyb123 has mentioned have nothing to do with the "stoner" stereotype.

 

Theres a whole load of stuff... but the comedy is like a completely different kind.. hard to explain.. don't people usually say it's 'dry' humour or something?

i like dry humor. some of my favorite movies are coen brothers movies. the big lebowski is the one of the best stoner movies of all time. o brother where art thou is also hilarious.

uk humor is very dry and dark.. and i love it.. most people dont get it though..

just like most people dont understand why shows like The Family Guy are funny.. where ya need to have a vast knowledge of pop culture to get most of the humor

 

cohen... and No Country for Old Men was pretty helarious.. full of good one liners

 

i think nightmare on elm st is cool when high, freddy is slick as fuck haha, and cloverfield was cool in theatres high.

 

Its american humor, Half Baked is funny as it gets for a comedy, but FUCK HAROLD AND KUMAR... That has to be one of the cheapest stoner movies ever made. I really dont understand how you cant like Half Baked though, Im going to have to watch it now just to think "Wow hes wrong!" I dont share your lack of sense of humor.

 

Fuck horror movies all together, the only ones I can stand are zombie movies. And what IS Cloverfield? I have heard of it but all Ive heard is DONT watch it.

 

Lol.. well to be fair.. i only watched 15 mins of it.. but got bored cus it was so cliched.. like 'oh no! i have the munchies!'

either that film got a lot better later on... or i'm hard to please.
