I've been thinking lately a lot about joining a cohouse/commune here in the Pacific Northwest, but nothing seems hardcore enough for me. People talk about having x-boxes and TV's and it bothers me. So I've decided to start a cohouse project of my own in a small town above Seattle next to the Olympic National Forest, and Olympic Mountain Range on the beach. I think the house would run smoothly with 10 members, or more if you bring your partners. A 4 to 5 bedroom house would effecient, on a couple acres for a garden and goat/chicken (milk and eggs only) pasture. We could aquire this for about $100 a month for rent from each member, plus $50 a month for food. The rent could come out to less, we'll just have to see. The town itself is absolutly gorgeous with a wonderful view of two mountain ranges, miles of hiking, hotsprings near by, 15 miles of beach, the only temperate Rainforest in the US right next to it, and a very moderate climate all year with just 19 inches of rain. Perfect, I do beleive. Plus the town doesn't allow fast food chains in, and already has another cohousing project (but far more expensive), and a huge co-op healthfood store. If you are interested contact me ASAP! You must be vegetarian and/or vegan, okay with no TV/videogames lifestyle, no rap music, and daily non manditoryYoga/meditation times. We are very hardcore granolas so if this isn't your way, don't make a mistake. Otherwise it'll be great! -Guenevere

^Thats funny to me for some unknown reason (talkin about the St. Helen thing). (guess it shouldn't be)
Mad_Hatta's vision looks nice to me, except I'm not a vegetarian, and my son is a video gamer, so I guess it's not a match. I respectfully recognize the beauty of your vision, even though I don't fit into it.
