Why didn't this happen when everyone had a gun to hunt? Who randomly shot up a college campus in the 1800's, how about in the thousands of years before that?

What justifies something like this in the mind of the shooter?

I been past NIU a handful of times... know some people that go there... saddening...

There was recently a shooting at a store within a few miles of my house (tinley park), 5 people killed in a robbery... at least in that we have a purpose, a motive for him to kill those people, justifiable, of course not... but he did get away.

Here, what is the point? What was accomplished? Why bother? A cry for attention?

Most importantly... what is the solution?

There is a grand waste of fucking time and money for ya! Instead of using those resources to figure out what the hell was in this dudes mind, instead of looking at ways to secure this from happening again we will spend time and money on trying to figure out the "history of the weapons" Yup, the weapons did it again, the guy was a victim of the weapons, the weapons made him do it!

Can't you people understand that the more emphasis, tragedy, and importance you give to a school shooting, the more it is likely to attract some suicidal dumbass.
