Oil Pastels And Acrlic Paints Help

    I am 14 years old and ive been dawing my whole life.This whole year ive been painting with acrylics.I just was wondering if guys have any tips or tequniques, now i know you guys are going to say do your own thing i have been but i just wanted to get some ideas.I also wanted to know some tips with oil pastel and how to mix them.

    I mean honestly you just have to work with it and see what works for you. I personally like blending colors so I will move my brush over one color with another so that it blends. But you will figure it out... oil pastels can take a while to get the hang of. Just experiment and have fun :)

    oil pastels are great, but to get the true effect from them dont be afraid to lay it down thick... they heat up slightly from the pressure and friction ad kinda melt together, if you really like them buy some cheap oil bars... they are more like the oil paints and bigger but really messy....
    oh and as for acrylics... i always used alot of gel medium and retarder mixed with my paints for a more oil like experience and a nice kinda transparency....
