I'd love to go to India. Indian women are as attractive as any women anywhere, and Indian food (if it's done well) is my favorite. (Let's go to India together, Nisha! [Maybe you've already been.])
i have been to india a few times and used to live there wihle i was a baby with my grandparents and uncle. i recommend you see agra or um.. rajastan? and delhi is nice too. i think the taj mahel is just magnificent. i started at it for liek five minutes straight when i first looked into that world wonder. you can spend your life there.. is beautiful. i love india but you have to be ready to be heartbroken when you see all those chidlren with no parents that go around with like only underwear on and hold little babies in their bony arms watching you hungrily in your precious clothes and satisfied appetites.. and also those mothers that are hodling their babies that are clothless... its really sad. the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. my uncle is a chief of lucknow so he has bodyguards that come by me and my family when we walk around.. you better visit india now before you cant.
i have a friend in india who is managing a community housing/job thing for the physiclaly and mentally disabled. they make and sell candles and crafts to subsidize the cost of living..she's in charge of making contracts within various cities in india to sell the products so the centre can be wheened off government funding. im so proud of my lil tessa at any rate, india scares the heck out of me, and i constantly am wishing my friend would hurry up and return to relatively safer canada. she's painfully north american, and even though she's there to do a good thing..often people don't ask questions before...well...i don't want to make any racist comments, or suggest people in the middle east are racist....im just worried for her thats all. at any rate my old boss is from india as well and he's a great guy, we got along well with everything..i think he's a closet hippie who doenst know it yet. soo...woo india.
hello... im from india have been here since i was born!!!! love this place... its absoultely brilliannnnt... very multi faceted!! u get to see hell heaven and earth all right here in india! its a potpourri! where in india r u openminded? im from delhi! c yah ppl round till then bharat mata ki jai! [hail india!] peace
Question 1 : Why did you have bodyguards, you're actually less likely to get mugged in a major city in India than in an American city. Why do you presume that just because they are poor they'd lower themselves to stealing. The level of civil obedience in India is far higher than in the USA. Quesiton 2: Why won't people be able to visit India in the future?
Begging in India is there because people who beg over there are "Professional beggars" The beggars in India are there like that because they choose to beg for their life. IT IS THEIR PROFESSION! I AM DAMN SERIOUS! . I went to India and I felt so bad when an old man, a child or some woman with 2 children were asking me- I took out as much cash out of my pocket- and I used to give all of it to the beggar, I gave large sums of money to an old man and incredibly large sum of money to a person who could not speak and was all alone with 2 babies. And once in a small city in south india there was an old man who came up to me and begged me for some money. This old man only asked for a rupee said he was hungry, but I thought what he would get for a rupee.. so I had a banana in my hand... which was actually from the temple-offered to the deity etc...so I said "why don't you take this banana if you are so hungry" and I literally gave him a banana and he rejected it and then said to me - "whats this?, why are you giving me this, give me money!" I was surprised, then I wanted to give him money but then my uncle told him to beat it and I was in shock.. I asked him what was that all about and he said to me that it is their profession. They choose to beg. It is not that they have no way to work... they do. They have two hands, two legs... a mouth.. everything.. they can work and earn it , but they choose to beg instead and we -the naive idiots who work their asses off...pay them for begging. O yea, and these people reproduce in large numbers... if the beggar has two kids... he sends them out naked etc to just beg and bring back the money so that the parent can either get drunk or if he/she is a little sane, feed his/her children.
namaste! I really love eastern philosophy and culture.. I'm grauating with a bachelor in philosophy soon.. and I'd like to come to india or nepal..or thailand afterwards... either for some extra studies or research... or to work... if it's possible in my field... also maybe teaching italian.. as my old teacher of indian philosophy did when he was younger... do you (or any of you) know how can I do this? are there any web-portal with such info? I kindly thx you all if you can help me...
ok now im sounding totally snobby but here goes... i had body guards because my uncle is chief police bla bla bla of u. p. ... he has two little boys that are threats to being kidnapped. they are little kids= i am young and dont wanna hang out with the adults because i dont understand words they are saying = i hang out with them.. so they jsut go around with body guards.. its my uncle's business, not mine and not my choice. well.. to answer your second question.. i heard this off my step dad.. the world is either (in that part of the world) going up, or going down. (i did not originally say this) as you are aware, a new silicon valley (like) is moving to india. they seem to have alot of inteligent people there.. but.. perhaps war and all these nuclear thigns might move to india too.. i am not a big fan of all these politic things and i cannot answer your question fully.. but.. make do with my first answer. peace
India is great. Go there every year (Kolkata). Yes it is unsafe to walk by yourself because of the threat of abductions and stuff like that but that happens only at night. If someone tries to cause trouble in Kolkata during the day an angry mob will form in seconds flat and carry out justice themselves. The street cops have no power in Kolkata. Lots of freedom. Great laid-back atmosphere. extremely hot and humid. very fun city. its like one big flee market really. MARIJUANA LEGAL. well actually not legal technically but no one will say anything if your smoking in public. not even the cops. cant wait to go back.
Ya.. when I lived in India, we would be amazed at the beggar's lives. When the sun goes down, they open their safe and bring out a TV, radio and many other things! There are also sleeping areas belonging to specific beggars. My friend watched from our hotel window and told me that its the same beggar that comes to sleep on the roof of the stairs to the underground passing. Everymorning, he would roll up his stuff neatly. Nobody takes it away and he comes back at night. We would give them our unfinished food.
Hey your the first person I met in this hp forum place. Where are ya? Whats happening. It sure isnt happening in Macun China.
