I've had dreads 6 months and now I'm getting a bit bored and want to jazz them up a bit! I'd like to wrap them but I don't really know how... so deos anyone have any tips? Also does anyone know of any good places to get beads, cos I can't find any nice plain wooden beads with big enough holes! Thank you!

I got some wool, tied a tight knot around my dread and wrapped the wool around tightly, making sure it's securely tied at the end. It looks awesome and they're cheap and simple! There's a shop near me called Tiger and they sell HUGE beads, dunno if they're online but I'd check ebay for beads and stuff!

I'm sure their safe to throw in at any stage, although i wouldn't for the first week or two. They probably do more good than harm for the dread anyway.

I had a friend that would stick ANYTHING in his dreads. Nuts, bolts, shells, soda tab... cant think of anything else but he didn't even have a real bead or wrap.
