Can anyone explain this? Has this happened to anybody else?

There have been times during which I have been so high that any form of tactile sensation is amplified many times over and it feels as if there is a string of energy pulling my head and arms. Both of these times I started drinking lots of water to try to kill the high.

I have been smoking several times a week for a couple months and this has happened twice.

The first time this happened, the tactile effects were mostly just involving my hair, which felt as though every single time a hair on my body was alight in pure energy. It was if every time something touched my hair, the nerves fired much more strongly and in a much larger area than simply the nerves that were triggered by the immediate touch. It felt so strange... I felt compelled to continue moving my head around in a circle so as to make my hair touch upon the my hoodie with every movement. As I continued this, I began to realize that I felt as if an invisible string was running through my head and was being pulled to make my head move. My arms, more strongly feeling a string of energy, were also strangely moving. I had smoked a huge amount and my friends were telling me that my eyes looked like pomegranates. I knew I was not 'enlightened', as I call it, but simply way too stoned.

The second time was much more intense; however, I smoked less than the last time. I had walked over to a frat house on New Year's to crash somewhere in between places I was staying while couchsurfing. When I got there, my friend told me he wasn't feeling the party and asked if I wanted to smoke a joint (I don't drink at all so I happily accepted the move away from the keg). After my friend rolled the joint (and fairly well, I would say, since although I had to suck a bit hard, it hit smooth and there was quite a bit of ganja in the paper).
We both had about the same amount from the joint and I was feeling pretty good, normally high. Then I was left with the roach and my friend told me I to go ahead and finish it off. After one last hit, I let the roach drop from my mouth into a bowl of water, which had over the semester seen quite a bit of usage as an ashtray or cigarettes. After a while of watching House on DVD - I hate how people always tend to turn on TV or movies, but it was his herb - he passed out on his bed. Finally, I began to realize that I was nowhere near tired; and even if I were to choose to go to sleep now, the couch was in the middle of the frat party going on two floors below me. Also, I wasn't feeling much anymore at this point.
So, I decided to smoke a bowl and join the party. After taking removing the roach from the ashtray bowl of water, I opened it up and put the hash back in my grinder. It was actually enough to mostly fill up my bowl; and, after asking my friend if he wanted to smoke some more, I smoked the bowl and headed downstairs to join the party.
The effects did not come all at once. At first I was just dancing, unaware of anything else around me but simply moving to the rhythm. After a while, a girl, worried I would hurt myself, tried to convince me to sit down. I ignored her until I, while dancing, tripped over the leg of a table and fell upon the couch.
While sitting here, the effects intensified. The sound of the music seemed more real and began to fill me while the colors of the room seemed more intense. While I realize this is not abnormal, the tactile effects were. All over my body, whenever anything was felt, whenever any muscle was moved I could feel a strange energy lighting up that entire portion of my body. I kept moving in ways, feeling compelled to keep that energy flowing, that made everybody think I was tripping out. The feeling was so intense...
I was, eventually, able to put together a few sentences; but for the most part I was only able to follow the most immediates thoughts of dancing and moving, much less verbally express a thought. Eventually, after everybody left the party, I crashed on the couch.

Has anyone else experienced this from smoking?

I just thought of something while I was writing that. Maybe during those couple hours or hour and a half that the roach was soaking in the ashtray water, it absorbed enough nicotine that that mixed with the THC when it got in my system. I've heard that when THC and nicotine mix, they react and I've never smoked tobacco so I could imagine that that could have triggered the reaction.

That doesn't sound like the effects of tobacco to me. Usually when I mix cigarettes and grass I just get nauseous. There could have been something else in that ashtray, or something else in the weed (both very unlikely if you ask me.) Things like loud beats and blinking lights can also have strong psychedelic/mental effects, you could have been tired or stressed out.

Weed doesn't hit me hard like that anymore, I don't get very high. But I wish it did! It sounds like your experience was pretty fun, but if this experience was a negative one, maybe you should keep your weed smoking to places that are safe and controlled. Definitely NOT frat houses, where weird vibes are abound and people won't understand what you're doing.

Yeah dude, I've had that happen to me, plenty of times.
like it happened once, for no reason, and it turned out that my dealer got my some good shit. Other then that i have no idea why that's happening though. Is it like a good or bad feeling? Does it freak you out in a good or Bad way, kid?
I kinda like it,myself.

maybe it has something to do with your ego (the idea of the personal sense of "I"). once you understand it better, things like this arent a big deal.

i´ve found that when extremely fucked up, if you´re in the right mind-set, it´s like that stuff´s not even happening to you. or you at least have a good perspective of what´s going on.

you´re taking your first steps at understanding consciousness and awareness, and what it means to alter your states of reality. have fun and pack light!

Sometimes when I smoke I used to have these "mind orgasms" I like to call them. I would usually be smoking and listening to music, and all of a sudden I felt like I was being pulled down a tunnel and I would close my eyes and see crazy visuals, similar to the G-Force thing they have on Windows Media Player. All of this feels amazing and its so intense that I would try to resist it at first. But if I let myself go and accept the intensity, I get pulled completely in another world. Its sort of like at those moments, I was completely one with the energy of the world, like I somehow tapped or plugged in.

that is my favourite part of the high, the world behind yor eyes, music is trippy always, and the closed eye visuals that pop up, that feeling of intesity feels SO GOOD, i always try to get the when im high, i've learned that to get you gotta just let the high take you over not concentrate on the feeling, if you concentrate on it it goes away, in my experience anyway, but sometimes it does feel so good i just cant go any further with it haha.

check that out abo0ut drugs altogether, this is what it says about weed...

When this fifth "body-brain" is activated, flat Euclidean figure-ground configurations explode multi-dimensionally. Gestalts shift, in McLuhan's terms, from linear VISUAL SPACE to all-encompassing SENSORY SPACE. A hedonic turn-on occurs, a rapturous amusement, a detachment from the previously compulsive mechanism of the first four circuits. I turned this circuit on with pot and Tantra.

This fifth brain began to appear about 4,000 years ago in the first leisure-class civilizations and has been increasing statistically in recent centuries (even before the Drug Revolution), a fact demonstrated by the hedonic art of India, China, Rome and other affluent societies. More recently, Ornstein and his school have demonstrated with electroencephalograms that this circuit represents the first jump from the linear left lobe of the brain to the analogical right lobe.

The opening and imprinting of this circuit has been the preoccupation of "technicians of the occult"—Tantric shamans and hatha yogis. While the fifth tunnel-reality can be achieved by sensory deprivation, social isolation, physiological stress or severe shock (ceremonial terror tactics, as practiced by such rascal-gurus as Don Juan Matus or Aleister Crowley), it has traditionally been reserved to the educated aristocracy of leisure societies who have solved the four terrestrial survival problems.

About 20,000 years ago, the specific fifth brain neurotransmitter was discovered by shamans in the Caspian Sea area of Asia and quickly spread to other wizards throughout Eurasia and Africa. It is, of course, cannabis. Weed. Mother Mary Jane.

It is no accident that the pot-head generally refers to his neural state as "high" or "spaced-out." The transcendence of gravitational, digital, linear, either-or, Aristotelian, Newtonian, Euclidean, planetary orientations (circuits I-IV) is, in evolutionary perspective, part of our neurological preparation for the inevitable migration off our home planet, now beginning. This is why so many pot-heads are STAR TREK freaks and science fiction adepts. (Berkeley, California, certainly the Cannabis Capital of the U.S., has a Federation Trading Post on Telegraph Avenue, where the well-heeled can easily spend $500 or more in a single day, buying STAR TREK novels, magazines, newsletters, bumper stickers, photographs, posters, tapes, etc., including even complete blueprints for the starship ENTERPRISE.)

The extraterrestrial meaning of being "high" is confirmed by astronauts themselves; 85% of those who have entered the free-fall zero gravity describe "mystic experiences" or rapture states typical of the neurosomatic circuit. "No photo can show how beautiful Earth looked," raves Captain Ed Mitchell, describing his Illumination in free-fall. He sounds like any successful yogi or pot-head. No camera can show this experience because it is inside the nervous system. FREE-FALL, AT THE PROPER EVOLUTIONARY TIME, TRIGGERS THE NEUROSOMATIC MUTATION, Leary believes. Previously this mutation has been achieved "artificially" by yogic or shamanic training or by the fifth circuit stimulant, cannabis. Surfing, skiing, skin-diving and the new sexual culture (sensuous massage, vibrators, imported Tantric arts, etc.) have evolved at the same time as part of the hedonic conquest of gravity. The Turn-On state is always described as "floating," or, in the Zen metaphor, "one foot above the ground."

I Used To Get High Like That Alot And At First You Dont Know If It Should Feel Like This, Like Your Falling And Being Stretched Out And Twisted. But You'll Come To Enjoy It,cause When You Get Used To It You Can Kind Of Control It. I Highly Doubt It Was From Nicotine In The Ashtray.

well I found out that my dealer put a few drops of lsd on my bud before he sold it to me. I think he let it dry a while, like 2 or three hours. I'm not sure if it was that or if it was just really good bud.

Maybe you were enlightened? I don't know about most people, but here recently, my highs have been very intense and intellectual. It's hard to keep my mind from racing but once my mind gets on a good thought pattern, it is on a journey all it's own. I've come to quite a few self-realizations while I'm high. Like you, I also hate when people turn on the tv or watch a movie while I'm high. For another thing, eating...people all the time trying to force you to eat while you are high. I know some people get the munchies but damnit, not everyone does, stop trying to make me eat. AND another thing, I hate being closed inside while I'm high, I feel constricted, if I want to sit outside for hours while I'm high, let me do it.

That is all.

Id say the weed was laced.
My advice is to talk to the person that smoked with you the nights that you had those effects, if they claim they did not lace it ,ask them not to smoke with you when they get the weed from the same source as they got it from before they smoked with you. weed is safe, . Liqued plumber etc isnt.

Stop saying weed is laced. He saw it. Nobody laces weed without telling you, not dealers, and not friends. If you did get laced weed and weren't told it murder the motherfucker who did it, whether friend or dealer, end of story.

As for OP's experience, this is a normal marijuana experience. My friend sometimes has the most overpowering sensation of being in a hailstorm of pleasure and mind-boggling sensation; he says it feels like he's in a hot shower but it blows him away.

This is from marijuana. Welcome to marijuana.

(whoa look I think I just joined the "holy fuck these stupid goddamn ignorant posters" club!)
