It seems that after every time I do psychedelics, most notably LSD, I continue to get minor disturbances in my vision, and that I have become more sensitive to it the more psychedelics I do. For example, lights continue to glow with abnormal intensity, and some surfaces still "breathe", even after a week of taking the drugs. I found that these distrurbances will be most intense in the two days following a trip, and that they will be slightly more pronounced when I smoke pot. Also, they are activated sometimes when I do ecstacy, but the visual disturbances behave in a more "static" and "buzzing" sort of way. But my question is, does this type of thing affect anyone else?
Yeah same thing happens to everybody. If you do it to much it can become permanent and you end up with HPPD
Oh, well thats not scary to me anymore. I thought it was like a permatrip. Schizophrenia really. Without that worry my trips will probably go even better lol
So... does this mean that I should stop doing psychedelics? Oh, and I thought HPPD only occured in a certain percentage of the population, and that its not necessarily caused by eating lots of acid... ?
LSD visuals are, for me, pretty random, some trips I don't have them at all, regardless of how strong or profound the trips are. My weakest trip had the most notable visuals, and they only lasted 30 minutes, after about 10 hours of nothing. That, and the difficulty of two or more people relating their trips to each other with words, make for it really hard to say. If you feel that the lasting visuals are a problem, and they worry you enough to wonder if you should stop tripping, then don't trip for a while. Personally I wouldn't worry about it.
I'm not worried really, I actually enjoy the visuals sometimes. But I suppose we'll have to see if I really do have any permenant effects after this weekend.
