Any fans here? Once you get your char figured out the game is huge. Being a vampire on oblivion is much fun. Then going over to the black marsh. Still havent got sick of it yet. Also what is the highest lvl you can get anyone know?

Being a vampire in Oblivion kicks ass. It never seemed worth it to be one in Morrowind. Being a werewolf in the expansion/game of the year edition was awesome, though.

Oblivion did everything wrong except horses, magic, and combat.

Morrowind did everything right except combat and magic.

It's a FPS but with swords instead of guns, and a few RPG elements thrown in. The randomly generated dungeons suck my balls, the NPC dialouge sucks my balls, the guilds suck my balls, the creature leveling system sucks my balls, the item leveling system sucks my balls, etc.

?? In Morrowind you could be walking around outdoors as a level 50 and running into fucking rats and picking up beginning-of-the-game equipment. Leveling was a big improvement.
The combat wasn't bad, but attack rolls and miss chances belong out of first person "direct combat control" games.

That's how it should be dude. If you want better shit go find it. The leveling in Oblivion resulted in leveling up literally being pointless. The game NEVER got easier. In fact a lot of the time when you leveled up it got harder.

BTW, nice qoute in your signiture.

Morrowind gave me motion sickness so I can't compare. I enjoyed Oblivion but I believe Crazy is right about the lvling system. I really liked how the map worked though.

im a lvl 32, i love that game. i have it on 360 and i dont have live so i cant download the expansions. i didnt realise you could be a werewolf though. I think being a vampire is fun but the whole sun damage thing sucks when your really far into the vampirism.

That's in the Morrowind Bloodmoon expansion. It was awesome because at first you just turned into a werewolf involuntarily every night, but once you finished the main Bloodmoon quest you could do it at will.

Games are supposed to get easier as they go? Of course you get better at a game as you play it, but I'd be really dissappointed if a game wasn't more challenging toward the end. Well, those things go hand-in-hand, actually.

I thought oblivion was great. It wasn't as complex as a lot of rpg's, and the leveling system does suck like CrazybutLazy said. But it was still a massive, realistic, and very interactive world. I am sorta caught up in replaying Half Life 2 atm, but Oblivion is still highly playable.

vanilla morrowind kicks vanilla oblivion's ass. I only play oblivion heavily modded tho, and with all the expansions. it's a fun enough game, I like to get really stoned and play (duh)

    Yep

Morrowind needs maybe 2/3 resources for oblivion

To play oblivion in 1024 res with all set to mid.

3 ghz chip. 1 gig ram. 6600gt vid card.
can play at 1280 res with this bit expect some moments of sub 20 frame rate.
Especially at times like when opening great gate with septim king..
heaps of on screen enemies drags fps down to 10 or so with the above hardware.
Advise when going to close this last gate,,
set to low res. you will need the speed.
Have finnished game twice.. bady at end no big problem

    occam

Ps i still have oblivion installed.. super dude with 3 sets of armor
    speed/muscle/skill
180 str lol and 50 shock deadric longsword
    They CAN fly.
