The following passage is from an actual medical reference document for physicians: "The individual may develop physiological symptoms of various kinds such as violent nausea; palpitations; feeling of constriction in the throat and chest; pain at the base of the skull; numbness of the limbs or violent headache. Sometimes he may express a fear of dying. In this variety of experience, the individual will voice very frequent complaints about feeling unwell. To an observer, he will seem to be extremely ill at ease and his nausea may lead to vomiting, although this is unusual." These symptoms indicate what? A. That's a clear indication that there is strychnine in the acid. B. No, it wouldn't be strychnine, but this definitely indicates impurities in the doses, so stay away from it! C. This is a description of what can be expected during the initial onset of a good dose of pure Sandoz LSD. D. None of the above. E. All of the above including D. I told ya it was easy I'll post the answer and source later.
Flu?? I say D. There is no such thing as Strychnine on doses. I have never heard of anything that severe from impure synthesis. Maybe light Backache and Headache after, or jaw and muscle tension. Sounds like the "patient" is severely ill.
I say D as well. The whole Strychnine was a myth and impurities couldn't do anything to that extent. and if it does that to you, its not good LSD.
The correct answer is "C." SOURCE: Handbook for the Therapeutic Use of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide-25, Individual and Group Procedures, by D.B. Blewitt, Ph.D and N. Chwelos, M.D., 1959. 94 pages. Personally, during the initial onset, I always feel jittery, weak, "blah," like when you first realize you're coming down with the flu. A blanket and music- along with the knowledge that it will pass quickly- makes it no big deal. It doesn't even last 15 minutes, and is less bothersome than even the most minor hangover. Some people will try to say that "real pure LSD" doesn't cause symptoms like that, but most scientists who studied it while it was legal have mentioned these sorts of side effects.
I get that "blah" feeling during the first transition too, just a bad feeling in my stomach. But I have never heard of "violent" anything to be caused by LSD jitters, as those effects are minor and insignificant by nature. If it is from 1959 it is Sandoz, no?? Maybe this is just how trips go when you are locked in a single doctors room, and people are observing your every action.
