We all read the books, and listen to the lyrics in their songs, we all know them, more then others....

marilynn manson, eminem, kotton mouth kings, ICP??? they all complain about their pasts, and how horrible their lifes were but honestly.... sometimes self pitty is a sell out way to make money! who can agree?:$

I don't know if I would call it self pitty I believe it is a way to Vent express anger almost therapeutic. No different the a poet writing about hardships. Art imitates life!

yeah but sumtimes...when i listen to a CD and i hear it over and over again with out any metaphoric expressions or anything to hide some stories about their family perhaps that fans sometimes just dont want to hear, and some times its repetative. its pathetic!!! half the shit isn't even true eather.... singers make up shit thats why they are sell outs most of the time...when i listen to the radio i dont wanna hear about how ur mother beat u or ur grandfather raping u...even if it did happen dont write songs like that to sell records...its useless!
