this might be a weird question to ask here but someone here should know.

In ontario, as far as i know, it is ok for anyone 16 years of age(or older) to have sexual relationships with anyone of any age(above 16, don't know about below but i don't need to because i'm no dealing with anyone below) I just want to make sure the age is 16 and not 18, thanks!

As far as I know, a 16 year old can have sex with a 14,15,16 & 17 year old.
I don't believe they can legally have sex with someone 18y/o or older.

    Could be wrong though

Pretty sure the legal age of consent is 14, but anyone under the age of 18 cannot have sexual relations with someone above the age of 18.

I was under the impression the big Cs had passed a bill raising it to 16 recently (ie: website may not have been updated), but it may not have gone through yet.

The bill is being written to raise the age of consent to 16 years old, but it hasn't been passed yet.

the bill is the one that the liberals walked out on yesterday.

Senate has not passed it but c's tried to push it through the house.

It "passed" and consent goes to 16.

Not legally, adults are not allowed to have sex with kids, 18 is considered an adult, 16 is considered a kid.

When advice is free, you get what you pay for. Don't blame us because you're too cheap to hire a lawyer or too stupid to look up Canada's criminal code.
So you've dated her for six months and still haven't slept with her.

Alright i don't blame any of you for the different answers i'm sorry for complaining about getting different answers....but you're the one that posted the stupid comment about me being a teenage predator common...

EDIT: at first i didn't know right away which part of the criminal code where it would be found and when it was posted here it didn't really answer my question.
i thought people here might of known and it would have been quicker asking here but alot of people are as not sure about this as i am

ok here it say's the age of consent is 18 where the sexual activity involves exploitive activity. I knew you had to be 18 to be exploited to the public in anyway but what does it mean by "or where there is a relationship of trust, authority or dependency" what i get from this is if you are under 18, you cannot be in a relationship that involved trust...so you can't trust your relationship partner legally? can someone explain that to me lol thanks!
