i didn't tell everyone to do it. just those that are bitching about nothing changing and everyone conforming to a certain thing. those that tell other people not to listen to the media, but still work for the man, keeping him alive. if it makes you happy to have a job and family, more power to you. my point is that before one can tell other people what they're doing wrong, they should purify their own lives and see what it's like to be homeless, with nothing. only after becoming completely beaten down by mother earth and society can one rise to real knowledge.

 

So what you're saying is "get out of the system or shut up and be a sheeple like everyone else".

Socialism is a good idea, but how many people would screw it up for their own selfish desires?

 

The violent crime rate is much lower now then it was in the 70s (in my country). It is much safer to hitchhike now then it was back then. The idea that the world is such a dangerous place today is a complete myth. Here in Canada Crime is at a 31 year low.

I went hitchhiking and it was a blast, and I live in the most dangerous province in Canada, and was hitchhiking to the most dangerous city in Canada. I understand America is a little scarier than Canada though, and I agree that its not a good idea for women to hitch hike alone (Now, or in the 60s and 70s).

Actually almost anybody can. As long as there healthy why cant they? I understand if your sick, or if you have children. However otherwise I think almost anybody COULD do it if they really wanted to.

 

Which is exactly why large-scale Socialism does not work. But on a small scale, it's a beautiful thing.

I think we all have demons and a dark side. I dont know anyone completely pure of all materials and worries.
Socialism at a large scale would be difficult to accomplish because there are selfish people that just care about themselves.

I'm self-employed, so I don't work for the man. Why wouldn't I want to live in a house? The stress of being on the road constantly, not knowing where I'll stay next would drive me nuts.
Why would I want to take lsd, let alone any drug? I'm happy without any drugs or drug problems.
And unless you steal everything, everybody pays taxes. Did you steal your guitar or instrument?

So if working for myself, paying taxes and living in a house makes me "support the man" than so be it.

My biggest problem is that my tax money goes to people like you then.

 

your tax money doesn't go to people like me. i burn money. it's only tiring if you dont believe in yourself. you dont need drugs to reach enlightenment, only meditiation. when you realize your entire life is meditation and death is enlightenment, you will realize that none of this matters. if i didn't know i could unite the world, i would have killed myself 4 days ago. lsd is a tool, just like meditation, it is a short cut to another level. another level not everyone is ready for solely because they have demons inside of them that have not been addressed.

my post is a bluepring to enlightenment, it is not the only way.

you have reached enlightenment in that you are self employed. good job, so am i.

the problem is that now you focus on money because you've been told from an early age that you need money to survive. which is not the case.

if you have information and a beat behind it, people will listen to you. therefor, if you give people happiness, they will farm your land.

step up and be a leader. you know the system is fucked, get out of it.

unless you have a child. if you have a child, buckle down and pay for that child, because that child has yet to be capable of taking care of themselves. because you are in fact still in the system, you will have to keep working for money to pay for your kin. but that is okay

but untill you realize that money really is the root of all evil and take it upon yourself to make yourself happy, you will not reach enlightenment. you dont need money to clothe yourself you dont need money to feed yourself, all you need is a message. a pure message. and people will take care of you.

 

when you're on the road, you do live in a house. your body is your temple. pray to yourself. for you are your own god.

The author of this thread has watched too many road movies, taken in too much pop culture and has obviously lived a very sheltered life.

It's not impossible to travel on faith alone but lots of things can and will go wrong and you need to know how to deal with them, and that means being in the right state of mind when they happen, or at least being able to do what you have to to deal with them and not freak out or do something stupid. You also need to know how to not put yourself in stupid situations unnecessarily.

Taking drugs and then going up to some stranger's door with a song will probably get you arrested... or possibly shot.
