Anyone suprised with the current delegate count?

As of tonight, Feb. 10 the standing is:

    Obama with 943
    Clinton with 895
    Edwards with 26

Obama leading Clinton by 48 delegates.

    Information from MSNBC

Just to let you know, there is no definite delegate count for the Democrats. It varies from one news source to another. The New York Times is different from CNN which is different from Fox News which is different from Washington Post etc. I wouldn't count either one out yet; it's way too soon to pick a front runner in the Democratic race. Let's wait to see if Obama sweeps the Potomac primaries on the 12th.

I'm no expert (I am taking a polisci class called Election 2008) so I'm absorbing much from my professor who is watching this race closely. He said Rudy's strategy of ignoring the first part of the primaries and caucuses has never historically worked before (and didn't work for Rudy!) and it somewhat seems as though Clinton is following suit by focusing on Ohio and Texas while Obama wins the most states in February since Super Tuesday. There is a strong chance that Obama may sweep all the contests in February, which might make it impossible for Clinton to stop his momentum, just as it was for Rudy. Who knows? I'll keep watching the results.

    Peace and love
