    Courtesy of TMZ:

"The NYC medical examiner has finished the toxicology report following the death of Heath Ledger, and has just ruled that the actor's death was caused by acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine.

The NYPD found five different medications in Ledger's apartment after his death, including anti-anxiety medications Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium) and Lorazepam (Ativan). The sleeping medication Zopiclone (Lunesta) and the sedative Temazepam (Restoril) -- which is used by people with "debilitating insomnia" -- were also found."

My question: Why did they find a rolled up twenty dollar bill in his apartment instead of a hundred? and...doxylamine contributed to his death?

How the fuck does doxylamine factor in? Its an OTC allergy med and sleep aid similar to benadryl . . .

For sure...seems to be the big problem: Person mixes benzos & opiates; person becomes unaware he/she is taking more and more; person stops breathing & dies.
It almost seems necessary to have a straight friend or companion around for supervision.

honestly there are probably millions of people in this world that use drugs on a daily basis and live normal successful society conforming lifestyle (their front) but on the inside that co-work or boss man may have 40mgs of oxycodone (technically oxymorphone) running threw his blood.. so u just never know who is using these days especially with drugs like opiates where u cant tell if someone is on them or not unless they are like nodding out and u know what to look for (pupil constriction)... anyways u just gotta know ur limits with each drug ur taking and if ur gonna do a benzo+opiate combo u better have a good tolerance to at least the opiate and know ur limits with the benzos....

I wonder what hollywood star is gonna die next on a pharmaceutical opiate/benzo and then make the dr's look even worse!?

The women in my family have asthma and have been warned about using higher doses of benadryl because its sedative effect can suppress the respiratory system. I'm thinking that's what happened here with all of those combined sedatives...
Poor Heath... and all because he just wanted to get some sleep:(

Doxylamine is a damn strong sedative. It's powerful. 1 pill and I can hardly (read: have no motivation WHATSOEVER to) move. Taking 2 while on lots of amphetamine pretty much stopped them dead in their tracks though. It also caps the euphoria down to like half.

But yeah. Wiki says it's better at sedating then phenobarbital. Stronger then some prescription hypnotics, ect.

I've never had doxylamine even touch a speed comedown. Then again, I do take rather inhuman amounts of amphetamines . . .

Its a nice sedative if your not on any uppers though. Puts you to sleep pretty well and the next morning you feel like your on heroin for the first hour or so . . .
