A Pink Floyd cover band from where else, Aussieland, and they ROCK!!! They came to Atlanta the last two years, playing the Fox Theatre (the place is amazing - go to Foxtheatre.org, I think), and they are amazing. If you closed your eyes, you'd swear you were back in the 1970's at a REAL Floyd concert. Tha background singers (3 amazing singers) smashed the hell out of the orginal background vocals, especially on Breathe Reprise. I don't remember the girls name, but she was totally awesome! Roger Waters, David Gilmore, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason have all attended their concerts, and given APF high marks. Gilmore said they were the closest thing to Floyd as the real thing. And remember the Wish You Were Here album cover? Instead of two guys shaking hands, the one on the left is the pink kangaroo, shaking the burning man's hand, LOL... They're Aussie symbols compared to Floyds is very creative. So if any of you haven't caught this show, you're missing out. Even the light show (albeit scaled down) is amazing, and they even have a flying boar hog (instead of the usual PF pink pig), and a huge inflatable pink kangaroo, LOL... Pretty f'ing cool. Just a heads up - they tour all the time - catch 'em if you can!
I saw them a few months ago here in Las Vegas, and yes, they are excellent. Sometimes it is hard to remember that you are not watching the real thing, as they are that good. And they played I think just over 2 hours, which nowadays is getting to be a rareity. So many concerts I have seen lately dont even last 90 minutes anymore. Yes, definitely catch them if you can, and for those who are not into tribute bands, go see this one and keep telling yourself it is only a tribute band and not the real thing, and you will be fighting with yourself all night long, LOL.
